good range and grouping to me is shooting all the freakin way down into my yard and they spread out into a person sized group by the time they get down there depending on the wind. it has to be at least 100 feet if not more. if i shot a good burst at you off my porch and you were standing down there if wind was low thered be a good chance of you getting hit with 2 or 3 bbs. i dont have tightbores either (that i know of) so i consider that good enough for me

I still don't know what was jamming it the first time. Couldn't see anything out of place. All in all, a good learning experience, and it didn't cost me a thing.

could have been the piston getting off its tracks. thats usually what mine do. theyll twist at a slight angle while youre closing it up. then when i test it the piston goes back and then jams.
or at least thats what i think happens ill test it and the piston goes back and then it doesnt shoot. ill open the gearbox back up and then the piston will slam forward and knock the gears loose and the nub on the gear that grabs the tappet plate is usually always directly behind the fin of the tappet plate its hard closing the gearboxes up sometimes with the spring wanting to push the cylinder up and the trigger and anti-reversal latch wanting to pop out all at the same time and i only have two hands

That sounds reasonable to me. That is what it did, went back and jammed. And when opening it is impossible to tell because it releases as soon as you open it.

Just as a point of interest, you may want to consider swapping out the bearings while you're in there next time. CA bearings are one place they cut costs and the #1 killer of mechboxes I've worked on this year - CA bearings fail, race collapses, gears go out of alignment, and the gearset shears teeth off. Go with solid metal bushings, or if you want to stick to bearings, get quality ones like Prometheus or Kanzen.

the bushings were metal, non bearing type. I put in a bearing spring guide. that is all I replaced. I am going to leave that box stock for CQB. Going to get another A3 lower, and put in a Systema drop in. Then I can swap them out in a minute, when I want to have something with more zip for outside games.
