Safety Glasses For Airsoft

HEy guys, another newbie question...
For areas in Ontario, do most fields want a minimum of some type of safety glasss or full face mask? I am looking to buy something. I have a high quality paintball mask, but if I can use just a really good pair of safety glasses or even goggles that would be better.
Please respond as I do not know which way to go based on what is accepted practise.
Yes I am a Newbie and have yet to play airsoft... hence why I am asking.
If there is something you recommend, please let me know where I can buy them and provide the brand name so I can take a look.

Any "tactical" glasses or goggles that are ballistic rated will do you great, although some fields only allow PB masks. Good brands of eyewear are wileyx, ess, and bolle. I'm particularly fond of ESS NVG Profile goggles.

There are two basic classes of eye protection for airsoft. The first being for games on /at paint ball fields, where you must use paint ball goggles, may they be just the goggles or the whole face mask thing (stipulations of their insurance).
The second for those used at private fields, where it is up to the host/property owner. Some will let you use mesh goggles, and some will let you use shooting glasses. But most will insist that you have eye ballistic protection that seals around the eyes, such as Bolle, WileyX or ESS goggles (though Bolle no longer makes the T-800s).

Most of the places I’ve played in and around Toronto all require PB Goggles. They however don’t seem to mind the use of ballistic goggles.

When I got to play I usually bring both just incase there is an issue with the ESS Goggles I have PB Goggles.

A Side note, some PB Goggles allow you to take the lower face/mask off allowing a PB Rated goggles but your lower face and teeth are exposed to bb's but can easily be protected but not fully with a balaclava / neoprene facemask.

Can I have the name/model of those type of PB mask please?

I want one that could have a removable faceshield.....for outdoor and CQB

Lots of paintball masks have removable lowers, I think almost all of them do for the most part.

Its a piece of plastic, I dont see that posing too much difficulty to remove whether it was intended to or not.

Exactly what Tokoyo7 said, pretty much all of them do.

But mine are ones made by JT that I took the lower off from, the rubber sides are still on, dont know how to take them off without cutting so I left them on they really dont get in the way

ESS makes a line of goggles specifically to accommodate RX glasses.

BTW.... my prescription costs 400$ for the lenses only....so meh....

Make sure you own a paintball goggle+mask. They're relatively cheap and good to have in case the field requires it. I simply cannot stand wearing them, but I suck it up and deal with it if the field kicks ass.

So far, I have yet to experience a field that kicks ass that requires the paintball goggles - usually because they're paintball fields.

if they cost that much, get goggles that accept RX inserts.
