Looking for a new paintjob for my M4A1, opinions needed!

Howdy guys! Lately I've had the urge to give my M4 a makeover. I am ordering a SIR foregrip from ROSV.com (hopefully I'll get it...) and I've also been thinking of some paintjobs I'd like to try.
I've been getting bored with just plain black, so I've been thinking maybe painting the stock, pistol grip and lower receiver a different colour... only problem is I can't decide.
One possible idea is paint some type of camo, but I think it might be too hard with all of the curves on each part. So I think a plain colour might be the way to go.

One idea (which I don't like and love at the same time) is to go with a tan scheme. I love the colour of it and how it looks, but being in a forested area trying to blend in doesn't seem to be a very good idea.

I've also been thinking of using some Krylon Camo Olive paint I have to do the same thing. It would seem like a better choice, but I do like the tan...

^KND's M4^

These colours in the pictures are obviously just for visualizing the final product, the spray paints are much better.

What do you guys think would look the best?

I should probably mention the olive paint looks like this.

That OD isn't too bad then. But personally, i'd prefer the Tan.

Here is the paint job I just finished on my M4. It was actually not that hard, and a lot of fun. I like the MC with the Tan/Sand/DE/FDE components...it works for the woods around here.

Well, this is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do!

After a long thought, and since everyone I asked (even my friends) all said tan, I think I'm going to have to go with tan.
Even though Ontario won't be turning into a desert anytime soon, I still think it's plain badass. I'll probably start tomorrow, but if you have any other suggestions feel free to tell me!

Have you ever played Borderlands (the vejio gham)? they have a Forest Green base with Olive Drab Tiger Stripe gun camo that I've been meaning to try.

In my opinion:

-Painting parts of the gun looks lame. Paint the whole thing.

-Painting the magazine looks lame and also makes it hard as shit to find when you drop one in the woods.

-Personally, painting a gun with some fancy smancy camo job is a waste of time. Spray a light base (SAND) and follow up with lowlights of dark colours (OD, BROWN). Looks like shit, works wonders, and is fast as hell.

Paint it to match the camo you usually use (at least that color palette)

Actually it's not mine, I just found it on Google. Thanks anyways!

I like the full-tan look of guns, but for some reason I like this look better. My opinion I guess.

I actually just painted it a gray to match the look I was going for.

I see what you mean, but they do look cool. If (and when) I paint a gun fully camo, it will mostly be for looks, not really usage.
Anyways, I made the decision a few days ago (as stated before) and I'm now finished most of it. Again, I went with the half tan look. Here's a picture:

I mostly based it off of the M4 in MW2. Yes, it may sound nerdy. I only did it because I liked the look, NOT because I'm a soldier-wannabe . Just thought I'd put that out there.
Here's the results:

YES, that's electrical tape. I wanted to see how close I could get to the picture, and it looks pretty cool. It could be a grip maybe?

I don't know if a lot of you guys will really like this look, but hopefully you will see some creativity. I like it.
It might not seem that good, but I think once I get the SIR it will look very good. Or maybe I'm just insane, not sure. Maybe I'll put it up on the M4 thread when it's finished.

The paint job looks a bit shiny, like plastic. Did you use a matte finish?

Also, why doesn't soap have a stock tube in that picture? Did the polyguns get sucked into his chest?
