G&G AK 103 Rear Stock Conversion

HELP! My G&G AK 103 has a couple of "tangs" when you remove the solid stock. I'd like to convert it to a collapseable stock. So far, I have a KING ARMS stock conversion kit, which I think requires me to cut off these "tangs" in order to mount it with a tab inside the receiver. Because I'd like to be able to use my solid stock again and prefer not to unecessarily damage my rifle, I abandoned this option.
This week, I received another stock conversion kit from Ebaybanned, which has a "slot" at the top where the top "tang" can go. However, it appears this is not 100% compatible because the holes on this kit does not match the holes on the "tang" perfectly.

Any thoughts from those who converted their AK's? Is there another conversion kit out there, which is just a simple "drop-on"? PLEASE HELP!

if you're talking about the little adaptor that allows you to put an m4 type stock on your AK then as far as I know it fits on G&P metal receivers( not 100% sure. I have it but wouldn't bet my life it's a G&P).

Regardless this receiver does not have the tangs but just the little slotted knob at the back and I'm pretty sure this do-hickey is proprietary for this receiver type.

sorry, just took a look and the receiver I have has a cube on the end with screw holes, where the adaptor has a cube "hole" so I'm thinking this one is not for you.

As far as i know the G&G are not a totally TM compatible type gun and I have not seen any other stock adaptors.

Thanks, Jamuke for the info. It clarifies it for me a little bit. Any more input from anyone before I do something very drastic and stupid with the conversion endeavor?

if you're having modify the adaptor you may be able to fill the gap with JB weld to prevent extra stock wobble

G&G makes their AK's totally different. Not TM compatible at all (which most accessories/add-on's are made for)

Okay, great info. Just hoping for one final confirmation from anyone who did this with their G&G AK 103, if I cut the "tangs" completely off-which I consider "point of no return" and go with the King Arms adaptor (which mounts via a tab inside the receiver) will this be a succesful conversion, or will I run into to some more-unforseen-difficulties?

wouldn't have a stock at all if I hadn't found the dboys

to make this mod not completely non returnable ..if you cut out the slot in the back for this adaptor... I do beleive there are tang kits on the market that go into that slot and give you the stock style tangs again

I recently aquired an element body that has just a slot/hole in the back of the receiver and looked into different adaptors while I was figuring out what to build with it.

alot of the m4 stocks do look wrong on the AK body .. but I found a G&P that I think will look just right in my modernized RPK build

Yeah, you're right, Reckless. I looked at it and the rear stock assembly is at an agle. Hopefully when I am done with the mod, I can off-set this with a "curved" RS shotgun rubber pad that fits standard LE stocks.

im wanting to do something similar to this and was wondering if the SRC AK Stock Adaptor for M4 Stock would work on the G&G ak's or if anyone could give me a link to a folding stock or cqb stock that would work on the G&G ak's.

Just a revival on this on going saga, I have stumbled upon Tapco, which makes conversion stocks for both RS AK's with "stamped" and "milled" receivers. Below is the link for the intructions for the "milled" receiver kit, which is as close as it gets so far to the receiver of my G&G RK 103. Hopefully, this will help someone, or someone will have the couraged to try this out and help the rest of us who do not want to take a risky modification.
