Customizable in terms of what? Internals? Externals? Upgrades? Downgrades? Kitchen sinks?

Care to be a little more specific?

well you can get a metal receiver first of all .... because internally, the src 3rd gen is already pretty good. Depends what brand and what signs you want on it, can vary the price. RIS is just by changing the handguard to a full metal ris one .... they are sold everytwhere

They're TM compatible, so fully upgradeable inside and out. Some aftermarket parts are a little proprietary and won't necessarily fit all guns, but for the most part, you shoudl be able to use pretty much 95% of what's on the market, including any non-ICS metal receiver.
