Different weight bb's

Ok so I keep getting told .20 BB's are allot better than the .12. Have any reason why? Also is it just weight difference or is there a noticeable size change to?

More weight allows the BB to be less affected by things like wind, grass and leaves. This allows it to travel farther without being interrupted. Weight increase does not change the size of the BB,usually only the composition of what the BB is made of changes to increase its weight.

Lets not also forget the manufacturers are in question too. I haven't heard of a single good quality .12 manufacturer yet. And like T7 said, the ballistics involved have proven that .12 are way too light for any decent gaming.

Search the "Newbie Tank" for "BB Weight" and you'll come up with a bunch of threads relating to BB weight.

.12g bbs is basically only use for grenades where it can reduce cost and give a faster fps ( less time to target)

Heavier weight = less FPS. It's not a dramatic change. FPS does drop with the increase in grams. The joules are also harder too.

.12g BBs may shatter when striking a hard surface.

Plus, you never want to put a .12 in your AEG. Ever... it will shatter in your gun and jam the damn thing up completely.

A little to much exaggeration going on. I believe an appropriate amount of information has been provided, there is no longer need for this thread to continue.
