L96 = MB04/MB05 with different Body?
I was just surfing the net, and came across 'Airsplat's site.. and started wondering..
Now, Alot of the MB05 stuff resembles to the L96 pictures and installations and whatnot.. But I was looking for a definite answer. Airsplat's Site that I was browsing.. Onto the thread: Not exactly sure if this has been covered before... I'm looking at pictures of the MB04/MB05, and kind of comparing it to the L96 and it looks like the barrel and trigger assembly could be swapped. So if you have an upgraded L96 or MB04/MB05, or vice versa, you could just swap the barrel and trigger assembly onto either body. Has anyone tried this? or even thought of it before? The triggers look like they are in the exact same spot. It looks like they use an identical barrel and trigger assembly... MB05: L96: If anyone has tried it, Or if they know for a fact that they can be swapped.. A simple 'Yes it can be swapped' will suffice. Thanks for your time all.

Yup it's basicly a L96 and it compatible with all pss2 and type 96 stuff. I own both but sold the L96 but still have the Mb05.

edit: Found it. The WELL version is modeled after the "Laylax PSS2 Shotgun Stock" found here: linky. I only found the version without the variable buttplate. However, the WELL version is slightly different. Found the variable buttplate one: linky

I'll post the link if I can remember it. |

The reason why it is called G22 is because the stock is based on a biathlon .22 rifle.
I had one before, it is just a different stock on a L96 receiver/trigger group. It also is a cheap copy of the LayLax "shotgun" stock, except you can't install the shotgun components on it, and the LayLax one was for the APS-2 There is two weights in this stock, one in the receiver and one in the pistol grip. I found that you want to remove the one in the receiver and keep the one in the pistol grip. Adds a lot of stability to the rifle, and helps balance it if you have the adjustable buttstock. Also, completely dissassemble the buttstock and treadlock all the screws. They came almost undone from the factory. |

that gun is cheap to buy anyways. Just buy the gun and ask seller to only ship the stock ... and any parts that can go through customs

^^ That's what I may do. I've tried to contact them about getting just a stock? Maybe they've had a gun come in with the barrel or trigger damaged and they just write it off..
We'll see..
