"Unbreakable" Glock?

Hi, I'm waawaa from Austria, the land of the Glocks origin and I have a problem with my glock 17 >.<

So, I have bought a TM Glock 17 about 8 months ago and I shot about 200 BB's when I noticed that the slide had two cracks on the two sides at the front and the rear sight broke in 2 halfes. So I disassembled the gun to look if there were more problems and if the internals are ok and while this disassembeling I lost the little spring that makes the loading nozzle slide back (hammerspring?) but first i didnt notice that I have lost the spring and I reassembled the gun and shot about 100 BB's when the gun got stuck. I went to the shop and the salesman fixed the Glock but he had no spring left and I could not play with this gun.

A few days later I bought another TM Glock 17 and fired this gun, well... After 1 magazine the gun stuck. I went to the shop where the salesman fixed this and then I went back and shot about 2 magazines when the gun stuck again. But thats not all... A few minutes later I noticed that on this gun the slide and the rear sight was broken too :???:. I went to the shop and I returned the Glock and got my money back and then I also ordered a new spring for my old Glock. which should have come in November but it didnt. so I ordered it another time and it will probably be here in February. In the meanwhile I bought a KWA Glock 26c with metal slide so it could not break. Fail. After 2 skirmishes the gun broke (I dont know why) and the salesman repaired it and he gave me the gun back. I went to the attic to shoot a bit and after about 100 BB's one magazine broke, the other had feeding problems and the gun itself had a problem with the fire selector switch and the slide stuck a few times.

so I must go to the shop and let the guy there repair the G26c another time but in the meanwhile I wanted to fix and upgrade my G17 so it will not break anymore.

I read this thread here:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...t=60308&page=2

and I decided to buy a pgc slide and my question is if it is the only thing I have to change/replace to make my Glock 17 "unbreakable". I read that there is a high quality loading nozzle, a stronger recoil spring and a stronger hammer spring and so on and I wanted to know if i really need these things.
What can you recommend me.
I dont want to make my glock very stonger (maybe a little bit)
I just dont want any problems anymore.

And I decided to buy a KSC Sig Sauer p226 full metal.
Is it good? Will it break? D:

and if there is already a threak like this, sorry i have not found one.

P.S. sorry for my mistakes

Greeting from Austria, waawaa

Welcome to Airsoft Canada, we have other forums like http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24 where this question is better suited to.

I don't own a Glock so I cannot answer your questions about the most reliable Glock. It's unfortunate that you had such bad experiences with the TM Glocks as TM is supposed to be one of the most reliable brands. Were your Glocks brand new or already used?

I can tell you however, that no gun is unbreakable and eventually parts will wear down and break on most of them. You should still be able to get a year or two of play without them breaking though, you have some very bad luck. Yes there are many upgrade parts available for every model of GBB, Glock especially and they should prolong the life of your gun if you choose the right ones.

I can tell you, with the KSC P226 - I have seen it with the slide getting stuck and the nozzle cracking. You can replace these parts as well.

waawaa from Austria,

I've been using a KSC Glock since 98 from their G17 model to the G19 since they come out and byfar they are the most reliable GBB I've ever own all my KSC Glock series have stock metal slide or some sort of aftermarket metal slide on them and have not seen a slide failure yet the only thing i've to do has been replacing worn out internals. the only time I've seen a metal slide KSC Glock failed is on one moment of stupidity we (a teammate and I ) loaded a mag full of CO2 and another with red gas, needless to say I'll never do it again.
Failure in metal KSC Glock series are very rare unless you are using a different gas other than Green or duster gas.

All my Glocks were brand new. :/

And I know that no gun is unbreakable but I just wanted a Glock 17 upgraded with metal parts so that I can play with it 1-2 years and not just 1 day

So the loading nozzle of the p226 is made out of plastic? Damn, I'm sick of that plastic parts but I think I wil buy it anyway. As you already said, I can replace it when it breaks.

Well I used green gas on my KWA Glock 26c with metal slide (almost like the KSC one) but it broke twice >.<
and I have heard that the KSC/KWA Glocks are not so good beause the internals break and wear down very fast.
And does anybody know if the KSC p226 is better than the KJW? I heard that the KJW is not so good and I dont want to buy a TM with a plastic slide.

but thanks for the help so far

Hi Waawaa,

Were you using green gas or duster on your marui g17.
With the plastic slide you should be using duster gas, gives less fps( I think about 50-60 less).
I have the PGC slide ( and outer barrel)it works great, I also had a Gaurder slide but the fit was loose( slide into outer barrel had a lot more play than the PGC and I feel less accurate.

I would suggest if you upgrade not to install a stronger hammer spring as it hits the blow back unit really hard and caused one of mine to shatter. You will need a heavier recoil spring though for the heavier slide.

I had the same problem with my TM G17 and I fixed it by replacing the plastic
slide with a Guarder CNC aluminum slide.I used to use only CA Power Gas.
I also change the rod and the nozzle with reinforced parts from Guarder.
Now everything is fine!

Maybe you just got a lemon, My KSC G17 & 19 with the exception of swapping a few worn out internals they have been perfect and have not replaced the stock metal slide yet in the 10 yrs that I have owned the G17 and the 4 yrs for the G19, in fact I have more issues with my Hicappa than my KSC Glocks.

I think I will buy a PGC slide because I heard that it is better than the Guarder one and because it fits in original glock holsters . How strong must the recoil spring be? 150%? and does the Guarder recoil spring work on a PGC slide? and do I need a better loading nozzle?
And where can I buy all this? I wanted to buy these things on Redwolfairsoft.com but I am afraid that the shipping will be very
expensive.

I used green gas on my glock 17 because the salesman said that green gas will not break the gun and that he sold many of this guns and noones G17 broke with greengas.
i read that the slide can and probably will break but what surprised me was that the rear side broke into 2 halfes.

Thanks for the support guys
