BB Diameters 5.94 and up

Hey guys I just had a quick question..

I'm trying to order BBs for a match coming up and I just purchased G&G's MP5 A4 the CAS version and reading the manual it says only put 5.94 or 5.96 mm BBS into this Airsoft Gun.

The issue i'm having is every where I go to look for BBs all I seem to find is High Grade 6 mm for .20 or 5.98

My question is will it be okay if I put those 5.98 BBs in my rifle, i've tried to find only G&G products for my weapon but no such luck with Canadian retailers.

Thanks in Advance.

Don't worry about it 6mm is what the are in general

.20 is the weight, use .25 .20 are less acurate and fly less predictably in my expierence espeacial at higher velocities

the bigger the bb is the better since im its probly a stock 6.08 barrel

It'll be closer to using a tightbore without upgrading : )

They say 6mm but they are not. They are the size you want.

Now some of the cheaper brands my have a higher chance or being deformed out of specs but things like BB bastards and MT are quite good.

Right at the top for ya. I couldnt find the size chart I was looking for Ill keep looking though.

***EDIT***

Here we go

That should answer your question well enough . Knew it was around some where.

what is K-town in Ontario? I was going to say that you should get MT since hellfire is in kelowna. but I think BB bastard would be better since it is closer.

Thanks for the link that does help, I ended up purchasing two bags from EN-ZAINE

I think thier a Canadian retailer but they have USD prices which makes no sense, but I got two bags, of Madbull:

Match Grabe BB - 5.95 - .20
High Presiscion BB - 5.95 - .28

You can get BB's off people from this site. You just have to find the retailer closest to you.

See the big ol' ASC mart link at the top of the site?

you can buy BB bastard .25s for cheap from there. They are Canadian, and widely regarded, on our side of canada at least, as the best BBs you can get.

I would recommend something heavier then .20s for outdoors though.

Theres also a few guys who sell BB's locally, but i don't think either of them are coming to the 21st.

I also stock .25 and .28 bastards

$10 per bag of .25 and $15 per bag of .28

They're better than madbull, and LIGHTYEARS ahead of G&G.

Sounds good Amos, Now I feel like I wasted my money but hopefully I will be only doing that once =)

Are you going to be coming to the 21st to do some AV'ing, so I can hit up the retail section of the ASC forums.

I checked BB basterd and like I said they only had 6mm or 5.98 I wanted to go with what the manual said to be on the safe side, between 5.94 - 5.96

But I guess You guys said not to worry.. so it should be all good then

This wil be my first airsoft game, and first time using my rifle lol
so I want to go out guns blazing the best!

Screw that, you know the barrel diameter on most stock airsoft guns is actually 6.08 mm?

You're fine. If anything people with upgraded tightbores (6.04 and less) would be more likely to have problems.

Most BB's are 5.9xmm +/- some tolerance usually never going above 5.98.

Bastard's, Madbull, Airsoft Elite/Metal Tech, and BB King, all of them are good.

Don't use crappy BB's (like Walmart stuff but you probably knew that if you're wanting to get the "best" BB's available). I bought a bottle of crappy BB's cause I needed some for a game the next day and yeah.... chopped in my teammates PTW (it was like shooting confetti) and wouldn't even feed into mine (I would have to go full auto and maybe every 15th "blank" shot I fired would actually shoot a BB.

I have personally fired bastards through SEVERAL different G&G guns (20+ different ones) and have never had a jamming problem that was BB related

You'll be fine.

Yeap, I ran bastards and madbulls through my G&G, and it was fine, no jams.

Kind of pointless post from me here but I also have run Bastard .25's and .28's through my G&G, NEVER had a feeding problem, and the accuracy is outstanding, particularly with the .28's. In other words, Bastards are the way to go and .28's are preferable. They're uncannily consistent.

You will never have any problem running any kind of decent brand BB through your gun.

Just relax.
