TM AK-47 vs. DBOYS AKS74U
Which of these two guns would you recommend to buy? A stock TM AK-47 or a full steel/wood DBOYS AKS74U? Also, can someone tell me how much the TM would cost aprox? I want to know because I want to know how much money I need to save up and so that I can start buying magazines.

To get into this sport you need a minimum of $700-$800 ready in hand.
$350-$600 Nice solid AEG, no kraken garbage. $150ish Batteries, mags, charger $50-100 Set of BDU's and eyewear The DBOYS AK-74SU is a great AEG, but it pays to get to be friends with someone who is a gun doc and have them open it up and check that everything is GTG. You can find reviews one both guns by using Google. A TM AK47 should run around $450 new, and a DBOYS AK-74SU should clock in around the $350 mark. Get age verified and you can have access to the classifieds. If you are not 18, no dice. Also, it really helps to have your own transportation. |

I can definatley say, you get what you pay for. TM AK-47 is a beast. While i own the Dboys Full steel AKS-74u, its awesome, i would recomend getting upgrades, and like the other poster said, make sure its Good to go, unlike the TM which is awesome outa the box. If you can afford it, go for the TM, or if you want looks, go for the Dboys. Its all preference.

Just get the TM.
As a starting gun, you don't have to worry about it. |

That's also true, can be less of a headache, but that also means you have to have the 600+ to drop right away on it. The 74U stock Is gameable, but its just not up to par with a TM

I think Im going to go with the TM. So its like around $450 for the gun, around $100 for a decent wood kit and I have no idea how much a metal receiver is. Probably around $200? What else do you think Im going to need to put on it?

Whatever you like. I would suggest not touching the internals, a TM ak running stock is perfect.

I would say TM And CA Are top par. But just leave it stock for now, until you decide to upgrade, because once you do one thing, you have to alot of others.

personally; I would say the non-cansoft toptech/G&G AK is better, and so is CA, and there are even companies like inokatsu that have made AKs.
Although if you are talking about the ak47 specifically, my memory is not good enough to remember which company makes those lol. Stick with TM, don't bother with the wood kit or aftermarket receiver either, TM ones are good enough for a while. |

TM ak's are crap, outdated design, end of story, only thing good about it is the internals, the externals are garbage.

I personally think that AK-47 magazines look better on an AKS74U.
