Pistol Laser:
So, yes, I know, lasers on ANY type of gun are illegal for the reason of damaging eyes. But, none the less, they are extremely fun to use at night...makes playing all of those childish "good cop bad cop" games that you play way more fun!
Now, there are several ways of doing this...the most popular, a lot of tape over the laser then taping it to you're gun...who wants to take their hand off of the trigger to put on the button? The whole point is having the button near you so you are able to have it on, but be able to shoot the trigger at the same time... This is a "neat" little mod that I did for fun...and nothing else! So, first of all, someone helped me with this, but I have to ask for his permission to put in his name...(I think that it would be right). But, here are the pictures that he gave me when I was unsure of how to do it...So, once again, the initial idea was to make wires, attached to a momentary type switch...here is the test of it all, and it works! First of all: You will need: Laser Pointer: $14 (for a 1mW laser...5mW is best, if you can get it). Pliers Scissors Electrical Tape (For Test) Soldering Iron Solder Button Cell Batteries Wires Dremel, with flat small saw bit This is what I did so far, I will have the rest up tonight when I pick up the laser. Take the back off of the laser pointer to reveal the batteries...take them out! You will see a spring, now take the scissors and cut just before the spring. Take the 2! pliers, 1 to hole one side, and then the other to do the "peeling". Try to wrap the casing around the "peeling" pliers (needle nose, small), so its like rolling up a carpet. Take it all off, but be care to not damage it at all...If casing gets curled up to much, and the casing is to thick to cut, then take the dremel and cut into it. Get the batteries, and place the positives all up, (big-small, big-small, big-small), then wrap them with tape. Wrap electrical all over, but leave a bit at the stop. Get the wires and place them at each end, but re-tape the batteries so the wires don't come undone. Here is a diagram, (made by said person). http://s648.photobucket.com/albums/u...nt=laseeer.jpg First part, without switch. http://s648.photobucket.com/albums/u...serhelp2-1.jpg Second diagram with switch. This is my idea (I didn't make it up, I've seen it used before, just what I had planned out in my head.). http://s648.photobucket.com/albums/u...ylaseridea.jpg So, basically, I just wanted to show you what I was doing, and if you like it, you can do it on you're own. I am getting a real laser, but I was wondering how the "community" thought of this idea? Please, no hateful comments, I just like doing things like these for fun sometimes, because I never really get to do these kinds of things on my guitars etc. Thanks! |

Or people can just buy a proper pistol laser that attaches to a rail.

how about keeping these "mods" to your self, we don't do clearsoft here, maybe try clearsoftcanada.com. We also do not condone minors owning airsoft and we ESPECIALLY do not condone anyone regardless of ages fooling around with airsoft in their backyards, it is also a crime.

3, I am responsible, and am allowed under adult care, and I DO NOT shoot it in my backyard, infact I go to a family-owned "no trespassing" area. Also, who said you have to do mods on "clearsoft"...no one did, because THEY ARE USED ON EXPENSIVE GUNS!!! 4, Actually, about the condoning part...This is a quote "Well, you are 15 now, learn as much as you can"...That is getting or trying to get me into airsoft, at least. Also, my friends 7 year old brother has an airsoft gun too...My friends 13 year old friend has a PELLET gun. So, don't like my idea, then leave, not my problem. Keep you're bad comments to yourself. |

tape...
? if one really needs a laser pointer on their pistol crimson trace grips let ya keep your rail clear for a light or something like an insight X2L light/laser combo works as well though i havent seen them mounted on a pistol but they look to bulky for me |

Lol, dude, yeah I know...Like I said, I am using a "clearsoft" for a reason. If it was worth spending 1/4 of the money I spent on the gun, I would, but its not, I put it on my real one, and I now currently have a laser, this is just an idea I had before, because I replace pickups in guitars, and do guitar mods, but I just havn't had a chance to do so lately...I might even take this laser of the gun (the one I am making), and incorperate it into my guitar...
