need help tuning up gun!!!

hey guys,

ok, i need some pro help here! in the last few evenings, in my spare time, ive put together m custom built mp5, franken gun, i suppose... anyways it was a stock jg mp5 sd5....

i changed to a CA B&T metal receiver and metal front end, then went with a full systema M150 magnum drop in gearbox and magnum motor. my barrel is a 300mm MadBull V2 tightbore, the hop up rubber is red, kinda soft, it has 3 tiny ridges in it to "index" it to the barrel (unknown type), im running a 11.1v lipo (2200 mah 20C).

ok foirst time i ran it, i needed to reseat the hopup. second time, its shooting alright it just doesnt seen any faster than my stock JG navy.... it wont do the bottom of a can with .20's.... almost.

and i cant seem to get my mags to feed, i have 5 or six, all work fine in my JG's, and i have one mag with a longer fed neck (? make sense?) it doesnt click in, but feeds 100%, what lind of mak do i have here?? what mag would be best for my config??

and also, what should i be running for a hipup in this config? i mean it should be shooting alot faster/harder... the must be leaks. im looking for suggestions to make this the best high power mp5 (for plinking only), what would be the best setup for the CA metal hopup thats in the B&T reciever, and the systema v2 magnum gearbox?
i ordered systema hopup rubbers (the red ones), and some blue madbull 60 degree shark fin hop ups....maybe theyll help?

any advice appreciated, as i know its not quite right....

thanks for now,
ginnz.

That's a madbull shark-fin hop-up rubber by the sounds of it (the red one in your gun)..

Those things are ABSOLUTELY TERRIABLE. I'd reccomend changing that out first to see if that makes a difference.

... as far as I know Systema doesn't make a red hop-rubber... Are you sure you ordered a Systema?

Anyway, for this set-up I'd recommend a firefly hard-rubber or a Prometheus airseal (hard)

Amos, you are correct! the systema rubber i ordered is indeed black. and dang, i guess i shouldnt have orded the blue madbull ones.

and where in the heck can i find these firefly ones? ive looked all over?? you wouldnt happen to have a couple, three i could buy off you? ;-) and is the MadBull 300mm tightbore a decent choice for the CA metal hop up/systema box?

and as far a the CA metal hop up chamber, and th systema magnum box/nozzle, with a good hop up rubber, i should be basically good to go?

and as far as the mag that i have with the taller "neck" on iy, can anyone ttell me who makes them? as i am looking for the best (most reliable feeding) mag that will work best with this configuration....

ill teall ya guys tho, the magnum motor sure pull that M150 spring with no problems! and the ROF is pretty dang good..... im just trying to squeeze the best performance out of this thing.... id imagine just putting in the proper hop up rubber will make a world of a difference? im looking to get at least 475-500 fps.!

thanks again, for all suggestions!

Madbull is a decent barrel... if you want ultimate top end, get a Prometheus or a PDI. The CA Chamber is good, and I don't know much about MP5 mags... I've heard TM and CA mags are very good though... and if you've got a CA hop-up unit.. CA mags couldn't hurt!

PM'd about the firefly rubbers.
