Kjw m700
Ok so there are other posts about this, but nobody gets around to the point.
The KJW M700 is an exact clone of the Tanaka M700, EXCEPT for the hop up and barrel assembly, or so I have heard. So my question is about the Hop up and barrel assembly. So WHAT IS the difference between them? I am looking into upgrading one and need to know be4 I buy. And if there is a difference, what kind of parts do I buy to upgrade? Sorry for reposting, but no post ever gets to an exact point, so I thought I would ask the exact question I need an answer to. |

What upgrade are you trying to do? Cause if your trying to upgrade FPS the gun already shoots 490+ have fun bringing that to games.

I have a Tanaka M700 AICS, which is very similar to the KJW.
Specifically, the way that the hopup "hole" is cut into the KJW inner barrel is different from the Tanaka. The inner barrels are not interchangeable because of this. The M700 uses and AEG-style barrels and a VSR-style hopup sleeve; the Tanaka has it's own proprietary hopup rubber and inner barrel-hopup cut (a hole instead of a notch found on AEG barrels). FWIW, the KJW barrel has in inner diameter of 6.10, so a new inner barrel is almost mandatory. I would suggest a DB Customs 6.01 tightbore and a high-quality (Prometheus or other) VSR-style hopup bucking. Also, run it on duster, or you won't have any friends who will play with you. You don't have to use duster, as you can also adjust the FPS on the KJW. When I had one, I would run it between 450 and 350. Lowest I got was a piddly 100 or so, and highest I got was about 700, mind you it was a very hot day and the fps dropped little by little with each shot. Theres a video on Youtube showing one how to adjust the FPS on a KJW M700

So from what I understand, you can buy a VSR hop up and barrel for this gun?
Also, isnt DBC out of business? If not, how do I get one of their barrels? Also, has anybody heard of the Mag upgrades for the KJW mags. I have heard that the KJW mags suck. AND, are the mags for the Tanaka compatible with the KJW? Alot of questions I know. |

OK so before I start buying stuff, the KJW is an EXACT clone of the Tanaka, except the hop up/barrel assembly?

Has always been my understanding (nd I've got one of the first KJW M700s sold in Canada) that the inner barrel is 6.05mm.
The inner barrel is really sensitive to being dirty, best to run a dry swab through it after every 20 shots. And use a file to smooth out the feed lips on the mags, they tend to be rather sharp and cut the BB surface. I can also confirm the Tanaka mags do fit as well. |

OK great thanks, and hey since were on the topic, CDN Stalker, what kind of upgrades do you recommend putting in the KJW M700?
I want it to be able to handle anything. |
