MA vs Madbull: Tightbores

Hey guys I'm looking for a cheap tightbore barrel.
I've had a madbull and wasn't overly blown away by it, but I see these stainless steel barrels from a company called Military Action, that I've never heard of, (http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1394) and i was wondering if anybody had any experience with these barrels, and what one is a better buy

tightbores dont make too much difference in terms of accuracy, most of your accuracy/consistency comes from the hop up rubber.

prometheus is a good brand for both tightbore and hop up rubber.

I hear some people swear by the Firefly hop-up set. That and some people also swear by the Guarder Clear hop-up set. Personally I use a Guarder Clear, serves it's purpose quite well for me.

Same question here.

I wanted to buy a Prometheus tightbore, but it's way more expensive than Madbull/MA. Is there any problem with Madbull/MA tightbore barrels that people know of by any chance?

Well, I got a defective 'Aps2' barrel from them, the hopup sleeve guide was milled into the same side as the port for the rubber to stick through. I contacted madbull about this and they say it was a mistake at first, then said its for a 'special aps2 rubber'. I think they were just covering their ass, I can't find any 'specialized' aps-2 hopups through searching, can someone please correct me i'm wrong?

Heres a picture.

Best combo I've seen is a Prometheus barrel with an appropriately FPS matched firefly rubber

I've tried everything from Guarder Clear, to Prometheus rubbers.. and Firefly is amazing.

There's no such thing as a "cheap" tightbore
As with all things airsoft, you get what you pay for. An expensive tightbore is a good tightbore, a cheap tightbore could be worse than your stock barrel
Spend the money, get a prometheus barrel

yeah but IMO it's better to spend 110 and be happy with you acquisition and enjoy the results than spending 40$ and feeling ripped off and unsatisfied with it and like most people that I know get tired and still spend the 110 later to get the best one.

But that is just me... I like things that work and perform.

I've had great sucess with a MB Black Python v2 and Guarder Clear hopup rubbers. Not as trick as other setups, but it worked for me in more than one setup.

100% agree that Promy barrel is better...but the other still worked.

The next setup I'll try is a TK twist barrel and soft rubber...saw Scooby's M4 setup shoot and it's just jaw dropping.

While on the subject, I took a look at the Tanio Koba Twist barrel and I'm having a hard time figuring how this thing can combine both gyroscopic & backspin to a BB, and even if it manages to do it, how it can make the rifle more accurate ; the way I see the movement induced to the BB, it's most likely going to veer severely off course...

I have no doubt, hence they wouldn't be selling it... but being an engineer I must understand it before I buy it...
