New upgrade comming....
well,
i finally broke the bank a bit more. as i really like my JG mp5 Navy, i ordered a Systema M150 Magnum Gearbox and Magnum motor from airsoftpartscanada, and ordered the burst fire mosfet (Trigger Master) to go along with it..... now i think ill get a 363mm madbull tightbore (as im using a suppressor to hide it), and a top of the line hop up, and i should be all set up with this gun..... next is to build up the v2 box with top of the line for putting in my Mp5sd5... Can anyone recommend a top of the line hop up for the Navy mp5 (with M150 Magnum box)???? im just looking for the best hop up rubber/bucking combo for such a fast shooting set-up. man, it all started out with wanting a couple of guns to hang on the wall.... now a grand later, its just nuts, like a disease, like my heli-hobby! but i like it! |

M150? What's the point of that? You can't play with a gun that hot (close to 500 fps; the risk of injury to anyone you shoot at is sustantial), and the additional wear and tear means you'll be fixing stuff all the time....

Still, M150 will just put unnecessary strain on your mechbox. Especially since its a V2.

I'm not sure if you are aware of this but I will put it out there just in case you didn't know, even though the M4s and MP5s use version 2 mechboxes not all of their parts are the same.
Would I be correct to assume that this is the kit you are purchasing? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1055 If it is you will need to either purchase a new selector plate for your mechbox or transfer the existing selector from your old mechbox to your new one. I believe you may also have to replace the nozzle as well. However I did notice that airsoft parts did have an MP5 drop in box available as well, a quick spring change and you are good to go. Edit: Please see the post below for a complete list of parts that will not be compatible.

- nozzle
- selector plate - safety - trigger - trigger spring (MP5 vs. M4 are different...not sure why...) ...and match the cylinder to the barrel length (you're going with a 363mm M4 barrel...which usually has a ported cylinder). Not sure what effect the bore up cylinder (for M16A2/SR16) will have with that length of barrel. Bore up nozzles are different from regular nozzles...pick the right one. Depending on how you run the wires...you might need to relocate the mosfet. |

thanks for the info M102404!
the guys at airsoft parts ca special ordered me in a rear wired mp5 v2 systema magnum gearbox and the magnum motor, so it should be a drop in mod, for the most part. i also ordered the rigger master mosfet from our guy Dan here in the forums. i have some high quality 14g. silicone wire here from my RC stuff, i may rewire everything from the gearbox/back and to the mosfet. it will be held in the full rear stock, along with a new type mini 20A fuse/holder. should be a hard hittin' gun. BTW- i just got an email from airsoftparts.ca and they've shipped the gearbox/motor, and the Mosfet is also on its way, so ill update the thread with how it all works out late next week. |
