BB's hitting inside of suppressor??
Hi yall....
just a quick question here. on my JG mp5 navy, i installed a Element Troy suppressor, it has the 14mm CCW thread on it, and screwed on easilly. but when i shoot, the shots are hitting the endcap lip on the inside and disintegrating..... its like the bugger doesnt line up.... anyone else have this problem with their AEG's? |

Is the foam inside aligned properly? Take the silencer off the gun and peek down the middle.

yeah, ita all aligned.... it seems the threads are cut a little off, causing the bb's to just hit the upper lip of the endcap. i have a solution though.... as im using a longer barrel in the Mp5, ill make a guide and attach it to the end of the barrel, then slide it all on, it'll work fine. :-)

I had the same issue with my JG G36. Turned out the treads on my barrel were slightly warped, had to replace the barrel assembly with a TM, but now it fits on straight and normal

yup, this happens sometimes with china cloned guns. Issue is caused by warped flashhiders on either the silencer or the barrel of the gun.

Why not use a slightly larger drill bit and make the endcap hole a little larger?

I had that problem with my kraken even with a tightbore in it....Instead of screwing with it I thought it would be better to get a better gun. lol

i made a disk with the same OD as the ID of the suppressor, and slipped it on the end of the barrel tight, now it all lines up fine.... ;-)

The silencer isnt aligned properly. the forward iron sight on the mp5 is detachable and is not very stable. It's also where the threads to which the silencer attaches. So if the sight is sagging down so is the silencer. I'd use some Teflon tape or something between the sight and the cocking tube to make it more stable.
