Exclamation mini shot gun?

hi everyone i was wondering that if i were to shorten my smith and wesson shotgun's barell would it effect the fps

Only shortening the inner barrel will effect the FPS. Though not likely by much, but it depends on how much you are shortening it.

If it's a 6inch, and firing at 270fps, and you shortened it to 3inch, the fps could drop by 1 to 70fps easily.

it fires at about 320-30 and i wanted to shorten the inner one its currentley 8 inches i wanted to halve it it could be my secondary gun cause i'm planning on using a co2 pistol for my main i was wondering if you knew what the knew fps would be also i have another one incase it doesn't work

well, not many people have access to a lathe, so a Saw is the next best thing, you just gotta use it right

nope. a saw could deform/flatten the inner barrel. even though it's not significantly better, you'd be better off cutting it with a pipe cutter then use a reamer to flare out the tip a bit.

You can use tubing/pipe cutters as coach suggested. But you all you need is mini copper cutters available at a homedepot. Any plumber should have one.
