HK416 Upgrade and Downgrade

I am buying a JG HK416 and should receive it eventually, but I'm already looking for a few recommended upgrades/downgrades.

I heard that the gun will shoot stock at around 450 FPS. This is too much... seriously. I would not want to get shot by a 450 fps gun on full auto. Which spring should I get to downgrade it to an acceptable range, one for outdoors (I guess 365-380), and one for indoors (320-330?) and that will reduce the stress on all the gearbox. There are a couple of big brands out there, I'd just like to know which one are recommended for my usage ?

Also, what other upgrades should I consider ? I know that I will be getting the Version 2 of the HK416, full-metal.

make sure what FPS exactly the gun is shooting, using a reliable chrony.

do not go upgrading it without knowing, for instance, if the airseal is bad and you're not getting the right FPS.

when you know exactly what FPS you are getting you can change the spring
( MS100SP for indoor and MS110SP for outdoors )

The spring will likely settle to something much lower after a good few shots. Do some plinking and chrono again before swapping it out.

It's just that I don't own a chrono and I can't justify spending 100+$ on a chrono just to test my spring. I just wanted to know a known spring that most people use. If it dosen't work that way, I'm sorry.

Dunno how often you intend to swap springs, but it might be easier just to buy a second mechbox. Personally, I like around 380 fps outdoors, and around 330 indoors. A Modify s110 and s90 work great for me.

10 shots from my own 416, stock, using 0.25, through a Madbull chrony.

371.4
371.4
381.1
374.6
384.5
381.1
373
374.6
374.6
386.2

I don't have the exact formula to translate these numbers to 0.20, but it is not shooting 450, I'm pretty sure of that. Ballpark I'd say 415-420.

I'll see after the spring has settled a bit (around 1000 shots I think), or I'll just downgrade.

And if you don't intend to always be playing around the mechbox to swap spring, just go for 330-340. Ok for indoors, and enough for outdoors, trust me. My MP5 goes around 320, and is quite capable of holding its own vs pimped AEGs, range wise.
