No I.D and No Idea what to do.

Hey, Im generally new to this hobby and i will be popping my cherry at defcon in Scarborough which is when im hoping to be A.Vd. I recently turned 18, But my wallet was stolen and i am currently in the midst of re-acquiring my ID (Health Card, SIN other stuff). The only things I have to prove that I am who I say I am is a TTC Discount card a a bunch of documents and a school Info card which has all my information on it. Does anyone know what I can do to facilitate my Age Verification?

I guess i'll bring my birth certificate. and my TTC card,my birth certificate is falling apart.

It doesn't necessarily *have* to be "government ID". Really since this is ASC's own system and not a National or Government backed system it's up to them to call the shots on what's acceptable.

That being said. Obviously you won't be able to use anything that you can just fake. A school ID and something else might be good enough.

Also I think you have bigger problems to worry about than AV. Make sure you call your licensing departments (eg. the DMV, and police) and make sure that they know your wallet was stolen and to keep a lookout for odd financial activity like a bunch of Credit cards being ordered/signed for.

And also, why do you keep your SIN card in your wallet? Thats just asking for trouble right there in the event of losing your wallet. You have NO use for it other than applying for a job, or when going to a bank or gov't office. Other than that, you do NOT need to carry around your SIN number is it the quickest way to have your identity stolen.

Loosing your wallet fucking sucks. I had just about my whole life in mine. Lost everything except my birth certificate and 1 school ID and my pilots license. Talk about a fucking hassle. I was coming from the bank to straighten out some weird charges and it came out of my pocket on the bus!

While waiting for your ID you can go and get an age of majority card for temporary use. It's basically ID that proves your 18 or older government issues and is typically used by people who do not have drivers licenses.

That is an acceptable form of ID for age verification.
