Aftermath Broxa or TF 16
Just curious about which is better. I'm set on getting one of them, just need to decide which one. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No to either. Get a real gun. At least a jg or some other decent clone.
You're not saving any money buying cheap crap if you have to spend more than the cost difference to make it playable and reliable.

The Broxa. It's a friendy noobie gun. Good power out of the box. I've been to games populated entire with new players with Broxas and Krakens shooting like 400 FPS out of the box and I had tons of welts due to newbies not knowing proper fire control.
But like the others say...JUST SAY NO and buy a proper gun instead. It'll be more worth you money in the longer run.

Spend the extra $50-$100 and get a G&G. I've seen way too many Broxas and Krakens fail after less than 1000 rnds.

If you buy the tf-16 you might as well play with a plastic knife. The built in hop-up sucks, rate of fire is terrible, prone to breaking and they look ugly too.
I have an aftermath broxa and I will say this.. DON'T buy a clear lower receiver G&G over the broxa. If this is a starter gun its better to save yourself the money, upgrade the gearbox and you just saved $100~$150 minus the 6.08 barrel and you have something that is truly feild worthy. I have an extra Broxa if you are interested too once you get age verified. I've had the experience of using a few aftermath guns and they are hands down the best starter grade gun for their price. People will probably flame me for saying that but you won't get a single complaint for anyone who actuallys owns one. By the way www.Basspro.com has them on sale right now for 149.99. Hope you aren't thinking of buying one for $230 from places like www.buyairsoft.ca A point of advice though, the rate of fire for the broxa isn;t the best. You might want to save up $70 and buy a better motor as the stock motor (although last awhile) isn't the best for Rounds Per Minute to power the spring. Quote:

it seems the tf 16 is a no go, but i was planning on getting the broxa from airgunsource.com. Whats the ratio of good/bad experiences if anyone has an idea? And if i do upgrade the gear box, does anyone know of a place in Montreal where i can get a pro to do it? id rather not try my luck by myself... Thanks

it used to be that broxas, krakens, lyacons and tf16s were really popular because they were the cheapest ways out. Now that you have the avalibility of G&G and ICS guns, there is really no reason to not buy one of those instead. Do it and you will thank yourself later.

Firstly, if you plan on getting this at basspro shop, they have a JG mp5 or mp7 ( can't remember) for about 189.99, so for the extra 50 bucks its well worth it. IF you MUST get one of the two, i suggest the aftermath, however if your getting an aftermath, get the kraken.
Broxa > tf16 for sure
