Hmm... I haven't been here in quite a while!

I checked out buyairsoft.ca for the first time in MONTHS, and saw they actually had gas blowbacks. I just want to know what you guys think about this gun (beretta elite: http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=451 ), and I also have a few questions about it:

1. I'm pretty sure this is an M9 Elite, need verification though.

and

2. Can I get a metal lower body for it, or would that be nabbed by customs on it's way over if I bought from outside Canada?

1. Yes, it's the M9 Elite
2. No. You can't import a lower frame into Canada unless it's clear plastic.

If you want all metal, then get age verified (provided you're 18+) and you can find all metal KJW M9s in the classifieds for not a whole lot more than those clear ones.

well, good to know i guess. i don't really need to have a metal lower, i could just leave it be. any tips for me about owning a GBB? like how to take care of it, and all that stuff. i've never owned a gas blowback and I don't want to ruin it.

i know i'm gonna use propane with the AI propane adaptor, no green gas for me.

If you're using propane, put a couple of drops of silicone in in the collar of the propane bottle every 8-10 mags or so to keep your seals lubricated. KJW mags are notorious for blowing main seals from overpressure, so make sure you never fill them for more than 5 seconds or so from empty (you should be able to get 2 mags of BBs on 1 fill). Keep the slide and moving parts lubricated with silicone oil. Otherwise, you're good to go.

It really depends how much shooting you do. I get 100% silicone spray from Cdn Tire and use that. I usually lube it up after every cleaning (after a game) or after any extended shooting session.

depends on how much you use it or if u store it for a long time. i use my ksc mac11 all winter and i lube it after every game and never had a problem with it.

im bringing a ksc usp compact from its winter slumber, im going to take it apart and lube the internals, then the next day test it out. did the same thing last spring and it worked

but no matter what ALWAYS leave some propane or whatever u use in ure mags. prevents the o-rings from leaking.

Hey can you use that silicone spray from CT in the mags too?

As far as I know you can't use silicone oils that have Petroleum Distillates in them, ie spray can silicone oil from Canadian tire - I actually went there the other day to get some and saw that it had Petroleum Distillates.

I'm pretty sure it has to be 100% silicone lube.

The silicone spray I use from Cdn Tire has no petroleum distillates. It's 100% silicone and 100% safe for your gun.

I have a KJW M9 Elite great gun very reliable and easy to maintain. The pic in the link looks nothing like mine. Mine has a Silver coloured barrel which is flush in the front of the slide and came with a moulded pistol grip as well as the the ones on the gun in the pic. Mine also has "Special Operations Elite" above the tac rail engraved. But not to get you worried mine is full metal not clearsoft so maybe the style or design has changed. Happy shooting

Well, thanks for all the help guys! The community's as great as always. And it's not FULLY clearsoft, the slide and most internals are metal, only the bottom frame is clear. And even then, it's slightly smoked clear, so it looks a
BIT better...

I bought mine from Ken a few months ago and am loving every shot I put threw it. The AI adapter is a great thing to have just make sure to keep it lubed up and your all set to go. The tinted parts on it arnt that bad but they could be better, on the other hand Id rather actually have it then not so there is an upside
