Just curious for what purpose? >500fps is a little too hot for most games in Canada, no?

If it's a V2 mechbox, even reinforced, it's not going to last long with a spring that powerful.

Probably an EG1000 or equivalent (high torque) with torque up gears.

EG700 rocks the EG1000 any day for torque (and is quieter). And if you are just plinking you won't care about rate of fire since you'd be semi most of the time.

I'd recommend the systema Magnum motor with Infinity torque up gears, a M170 is a heavy spring I had a pain of a time sticking in an M150. Also recommend sorbo dampender and sorbo piston head they'll save your gearbox from breaking after a few shots

my EG700 must be near the end of it's life. My EG1000 is silent compared to it. I just tested them the other day outside of the grip and the 700 was way louder.

Ya, maybe. I had an EG1000 in my MP5 for a year, then went back to the EG700 that came with it (honestly, the tabs on my 1000 had broken off over time and I was fed up with soldering/unsoldering when working on my gun) and found the gun ran quieter and with a bit higher rate of fire too. No going back for me!

I was just about to say you'll need a lipo for that.

Ah, I knew one was better for torque and one was better for lower FPS, higher speed setups (eg530 [or was it 560] excluded).. couldn't remember which was which.
