using propane..?
Hello all, just a quick newbie question: I want to use propane in my gbb pistol, I just need a little help going about it, for eg: do I use oil everytime I fill the mag? and how do I get the oil to go in when I'm refilling? I'm buying an adapter for 20 bones from airsoftparts.ca just a simple one no oil port on the side or anything..any help would be great..Please note this is my first GBB thats why I sound so new.

just give a few drops of silicon every 4-5 mag fills should be fine. what i do is I drop a few drops of silicon to the propane tank before closing the lid with the propane adaptor. and i drop 2-3 drops in the mags every 4-5 mag fills. buy the silicone bottle from airsoftparts.ca its about $5 and it wil llast you a while.

with a metal slide and barrel it will be fine. And I almost recommend that since the slides are alot heavier(than plastic) and duster doesn't do a great job of blow back. Also RC shock oil works well. I use 10wt silicone oil. The biggest thing to remember is the silicone oil CAN NOT have petrolium distillants.

the magazines have fill valves at the botom thats where you drop the silicon. When i fill my mags i just count 5 seconds before I take it off. it should last you a whole mag with a 5 second fill.

You put a couple drops where the fill valve is, is what he was refering to. Give it about 5 seconds of fill time after that it should be enough to empty a mag, but if not just put more in the next time, my hicappa's mag take about 7-8 seconds before its full, and I get 2 mags shot off with it before I have to refill it. And another way to tell that it has propane in it is that valve on the back of the mag(brass thing) when its empty it doesn't have any resestance when the mag contains propane it will be stiff and harder to press in.

Very helpful; I've got a KJW G23 coming from 007 Airsoft next week, and I just ordered the propane adapter kit from ASCMart.

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1292 I hear it works best with Coleman propane bottles.
