Build Up?

After doing some research, ive found that to buy a good name gun in canada im spending like $300. Ive also learned that buying guns from america is a no go, but parts are ok. so my question is, is it possible for me to but a bunch of parts and build a half decent gun (e.i echo 1 or jg etc.) for under $200?

Depends. Do you know everything you need to know to assemble a gun 100% from completely taken apart? Also, you'll need a reciever, illegal to import and generally are $100-$300 alone in country (greatly depending on what gun your thinking of building)

ya i forgot to add that, im a newb and therefore have no idea what i need and I would LIKE to build the JG G36c.

to put it simple; not going to happen. Honestly, you'd spend at least $200-$300 MORE builing a g36 then buying the JG one, parts are much rarer and JG dosn't make cheap (as the parts their guns are made of) aftermarket G36 (or pretty much anymodle) parts.

Sepulcrum's right. It'll cost you twice as much in parts to build one, and you still can't get the receiver in Canada, which is the restricted part. And you don't have a clue what you're doing, so you'll more than likely have to pay someone to assemble it eventually, that's providing you can find all the parts.

You're better off getting one in Canada. And that's about $350 minimum for a JG. And the only way to get them is to be 18 and age verified.

Good answer Crunch. To add my own two cents, I thought I could waltz into airsoft and start taking apart my aeg to see how it works. Long story short, I spent alot of money to have it fixed, and learnt my lesson; If you're a noob and you're curious to know how your brand new toy works, ask somebody who knows what they're doing to open her up, it'll save you alot of trouble, let alone a heap of cash.
