TM SR-16 metal barrel wobble

I just installed a guarder one piece 14.5" barrel on my stock TM SR-16. The brackets that screw onto the R.I.S. do not fit this barrel, but the D-Ring hold everything in place nicely so I assume with a one piece barrel they are not needed?

The gun still has a slight wobble where the barrel meets the gun/receiver. I have hand tightened the D-Ring part to the upper receiver, but since I am torquing a metal ring onto a plastic threaded body, I am hesitant to torque it too much in fear of stripping or breaking the plastic. Is my only solution a metal body?

If I get a metal body, is it an easy swap? Will there be much modding required? I was looking at a "G&P Marine (Bulldog) Metal Body for M4 Series" at Red Wolf (LINK), but they have so many damn bodies to choose from (Type A, Type B, with accessories, without and so on). Having never done a metal body upgrade to an AEG, I am looking for some experience or knowledge please.

Thank you

Their are shims that you might be able to buy that go between the outer barrel and the reciever, this way the barrel becomes tighter as you dont have to use all the threads on the reciever, and their will be zero barrel wobble.

Metal body type A is for front wired guns, and type B is for rear wired guns. Accesories means items like the dust cover, charging handle, selector switch....you will want all of this stuff.

You will most likely have to get a retailer here to get you the metal body or find one in the verified section....I have a beautiful G&P metal body, not sure if im going to let it go or not as they are becoming rare to get.

Good luck

G&P Metal body solved my TM sr-16 from the barrel wobble. but then again I dident notice the wobble to much on the gun in the first place since I bought the gun brand new and had the metal body put on before I gamed it, but either way it has become virtually wobble free.

More info about body types:

This is a tybe a

This is a type B
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...Metal%20Bodies

The ONLY difference between the bodies is that the tybe B body has a shorter stock tube connection. Either body could be front wired. In my opinion, you should always buy type A. Because if you want to mod the gun later on to take certain stocks, you can always cut the stock tube connection, but it's hard to add length to the connection.

And to reiterate, you should buy bodies which have accessories, but it's also nice to have one which comes with a hop unit.
