Frame mounted 1911 laser mount?

Hey everyone, I'm starting a new project. I'm sure almost everyone here has seen"The Terminator". Well, I'm building the ".45 Longslide, with laser sighting" as pictured below.

Does anyone know anything about the mounting system used on this gun, or was it custom made? I can't seem to find any information on the laser unit, or the bracket itself. Any help would be appreciated.

This isn't mine.

The sight is said to be a Laser-Lok (kind of the only game in town for laser sights), and the mount was supposedly made by a company that went on to become SureFire.

Thats pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, however, i can;t find any information on "Laser'Lok".

The laser itself isn't the hard part anyway, I could build the laser light from some tubing and a pen laser. But I do need to find that mounting system.

This stuff is pre-internet. Your only chance is the used book store and a bunch of 25 year old Guns & Ammo or SOF mags.

Laser-Lok was the place that pioneered a laser aimed weapon but I suspect they've faded into the mists of time. The mounts would have been crazy rare at the time of manufacture, never mind now. Your best chance is to use that photo as a pattern to replicate the original.

Either that or hunt down a Japanese Terminator DVD set that's still intact.

Looks like my project is a little bigger than I anticipated, though I guess it can't be that hard to make a mount like that. Oh well, maybe I should just quit anyway, I don't think Mopic carries Longslide 1911's.
