Leaking glock
So I just received my propane adaptor and gased up my new (used) glock 19.
I put the mag in and cock the gun and all the propane leaks out from the slide. Beside breaking the legs of the guy who sold it to me, what other ways are hereto fix this problem. Could it just be an o-ring that needs to be replaced? |

First thing I'd do is remove the valve nearest the top of the mag and check the ring on it. Make sure the mag is empty of gas before doing this. The ring might just need a soak in some silicone oil. Since you're using propane you do know that you're supposed to put a couple drops of silicone oil into the mag every 8-10 fills, right?

Yes I do. Would the mag only leak after the gun was cocked if that was the problem?

tear down and lube your gun. sounds more like the hammer is engaging the mag prematurely.
if the mag hold gas outside of the gun, mag should be fine. try cocking the gun then load the mag. |

it's fubared? check back with the seller. let them know you are having issues. take it to a gun doc or wait until someone here can help diagnose it for you. I'm still thinking it has something to do with the hammer/spring or something connected.

Lube the magazines valve, sounds like it's partially getting stuck. Unscrew the valve and lube it up good.

I don't have the manual, I have a diagram online. Would I just turn it from the outside with pliers?

it is a problem with the hammer, trigger bar, sear, something in that area not the mag. without seeing it it is hard to say for sure which part/s

maybe the valve knocker return pin is not opertating properly ? remove the slide cock the hammer and fire, the blue arrow pin is supposed to stick out, then recock the hammer and press the red arrow pin, the valve knocker should retract in the hammer assy! if it's not retracting this is your problem
this is the only thing i could think of!

When I take off the slide and put a mag in, and cock the internal hammer manually , it doesn't appear the stike the valve on the mag very well. Infact there seems to be a delay of about a 1/2 a second from when I pull the trigger to when the hammer moves.

with the slide off you will have to push the trigger bar down so it hits the right spot the slide does this normally so without it your finger will need to do that
