Guarder ACOG Scope Problem
2 years ago I bought a Guarder ACOG Scope - when it arrived it never worked properly. The red dot is super feint even on the brightest setting. Then every once in a while (like 3 times a year), it will work properly and the red dot is super bright and then after awhile or a few bumps it will be dim again.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to go about fixing this scope or should I just trash it? DB

If you're up for it and have steady hands...I'd consider rewiring it and tweaking the battery connections. The wiring and copper contacts that they use is pretty horrid.
But...I like to fiddle and spend inordanant amounts of time on lost causes (keeps me married ). Tys Last edited by m102404; January 20th, 2009 at 22:33.. |

Your wife probably wouldn't appreciate that comment.

I've opened one...it's a stone cold bitch ([insert marriage comment here]).
I don't know how 5yr old sweat shop kids get these things assembled...must be their tiny fingers. |

Try bending the battery contacts up. It could just be making poor contact. That would explain why its not a constant problem.
