Upgrades for an D-boys M4 s-system
I'm planning on buying this gun very soon and will eventually upgrade it. I will hopefully upgrade it to about 350-400 FPS with .20's but a small problem. I don't know anything about internal upgrades beyond a tightbore and a stronger spring. So what upgrades would I need to achieve that FPS? I'm asking this because i realize you need to upgrade more than just the spring because everything else can't keep up with it.
Thanks in advance. |

-m110
-airseal nozzle -polycarb ball bearing piston head the spring itself should do u good for that fps...those things i listed are a benefit. But, as I write to every other person who asks about internal upgrades, then u should. get: polycarb piston polycarb bb piston head bb spring guide bushings double o-ring cylinder head airseal nozzle possible reinforced gearset, for setups 385-390+fps modifyed tappet plate so basically...change the internals... airsoftparts.ca is ur answer |

Ok, ill look into that when i get my gun, which will be soon, but the real question is how much is all of that together do you think? And the M110 alone will be my gun from 300-320ish to 350+?

What?! Are you serious? A $370.00 D-boys M4 S-system, shoots 400FPS with .20gram bb's? Please tell me your serious. Every single review I've seen have said it shoots around 320FPS. By the way, it's the one from Bob the Angry Potato.

I never seen all DBOYS shoot 400 FPS. Maybe up to 370-390 FPS, not 400.
JG I know can shoot up there. But it depends what you want first. Use for CQB or outdoor? If you know what you're going to use it for, then you will then figure out for FPS. Changing the plastic bushings to metal is first. But if you want to save yourself the time and problems of doing it, buy a SYSTEMA drop in mechbox with motor done up for you. They will last longer. |

Well, I'm thinking mostly outdoors since the closest place to me is Panther Paintball. Also is that 390FPS the stock FPS or upgraded? How much would that Systema Mech Box be? 200$? I don't know much about the internals so i would be taking it to a gun doctor as well.

you should be fine they shoot hot all 5 of them iv had shot around 380 to 410 so even so you will still have the spring settel a bit so it will loese some fps but all of them were particly read for games.

390FPS is stock FPS for a JG box.
Try to use a chrony first just to make sure how much you're shooting. If the FPS is too low to your standards, and you are on a tight budget, then upgrade the spring and switch up the plastic bushings to metal. You can do it yourself, takes a couple of tries, but it's better to give it to the gun doctor, or let the gun doctor open the mechbox up for you, and you see how it's beingn done, then you try it yourself in the future. Systema Mech box would cost around 200$ or maybe less, and if it's including the turbo motor, it would cost around bit under 300$. |

Well, The gun is a d-boys M4 S-system, NOT a JG. what would the FPS be stock then? And would the gears and such be able to keep up with the higher FPS spring with the metal bushings alone?

i think d boys come with metal ones all the ones i owned and bought were 7mm ball baering ones so they were pretty beefed up. i think jg has since followed suit as i know the new jg ones are commign the same way. also by acdient are you watchign uk reviews as they have lower fps limits i know that i rember also hearing that the uk got them at lower fps to complay with their feild's this is total speculation but all mine came in around 380 to 410. Also if you opt to do upgrades the reinforced gear set is totaly a waste of money as the gears are fine.
