Upgrade Glossary
First off, I'm not new around here and I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing, and I know how to use the search function - all this has still resulted in one thing: a lack of information on what exactly upgrades do. I discovered this while picking up parts to upgrade my CA M15.
That being said, I thought that perhaps we could make a glossary/dictionary or an Upgrades 101 section that contains different information on what exactly different parts do once you change them out. For example: Part: Upgrade Springs: What does it do? - Will increase FPS depending on the spring you install Notes to Consider/May also require (with this part): - May require upgraded gears depending on the strength Part: Nozzle What does it do? - Shoots air into the barrel What does getting a new one provide? - Faster air into the barrel - More FPS Note, the above are only for examples as I'm not an expert on this topic. But, We could compile the info for all different AEG internals, and have a quick way to see what upgrades work for different people; for example again: ported vs. unported piston heads. This might reduce the questions about which upgrades people need. Perhaps a template: Part: Function: Upgrading serves the purpose of: Other considerations/Other required parts: Disadvantages of this upgrade: Post away, and hopefully this helps the next guy who is trying to find out "What does part X do anyway?" |

How weird, I went through that stuff countless times trying to find it, and I just came up with the one Greylocks posted back in the day.
Thanks though! I guess this one can be trashed in that case! |
