I sure hope the laws haven't changed.

I hopped on to the 007Airsoft website this morning, because after years of saving, I finally had enough in my bank to buy that CA M15A4 RIS Carbine. And where the price usually is in the catalogue, I saw the words "Not Available for Civilian."

The same words had replaced the price listings on every gun in the AEG section, as far as I could tell.

That shocked me, I had to admit. Now I can think of two reasons that this is so.

One: The government discovered the business and decided to bury it in red tape.

Two: The laws regarding Airsoft have been amended, and we can no longer enjoy one of the best recreational sports in the world.

(And in my opinion, if we now all have to have a red tip on our guns, that takes out most of the appeal of Airsoft for me, anyway.)

Would someone be so kind as to put my fears to rest?

The law haven't changed, the agencies just got better at enforcing it.

If you want a CA, you'll have to get age verified. That's pretty much the just of it.

Yeah, okay. I'm going to go see Jeroon this weekend. I went one time previously, but like a dumbass amateur, I forgot to bring my ID. So I ended up traveling from the Erin Mills TC to Port Credit to make small talk.

EDIT: And Danke, DANKE! I was worried for a minute.

Those in the know like to call it "active camouflage".

as far as what i can tell ken has done this to save him self from the law. he is only selling "clear soft" guns because they are not "real" under the law. i sent him an e-mail the other day and he said that he is only selling the G&G guns with the clear parts.

It has nothing to do with him saving himself from the law but from the fact that he's losing too much money on his shipments getting seized.

GreyCoyote, were you in a nuclear fallout shelter for the last few years or something? Since around 2003, CBSA has gotten stricter on the import of replica weapons. Red tips are purely for the U.S. it has nothing to do with Canada. We just can't import replicas period except for the clear varients which go through. Just get age verified and you can check out the buy/sell.
