JG Ver. 3 mechbox in an ICS AK74M body

Hello All,

Has anyone ever placed a Jing Gong Ver. 3 mechbox in an ICS AK 74M? Will it fit without fuss?

Thanks

It should, the JG mechbox is a 100% clone.

im doing this exact same thing. just for the sake of building a new gun from parts.
i bought all ics ak74 parts and am still waiting on them in the mail as some were back ordered. i ended up getting a jg black type v3. it will need a tamiya connector or a deans spliced onto the end of the wires if you got the same one i did that just ends in flat metal things
i dont see why it would be shaped any differently than any other v3. thats what drop in gearboxes are for usually. just whatever gun you have to drop it in

Thanks guys, I will pick up a gearbox from Haung and drop her in the old ICS AK body. I knew it was 100% Mauri compatable but just had to make sure it would also fit the ICS as well.

Thanks Again Guys!

i was just trying to set the gearbox down in the receiver tonight and it seems like ics gearboxes must be slightly different in the back.
theres this square part on the inside of the receiver on the selector lever side that wont allow the rear of the gearbox to sit down into the receiver properly. i think it will need dremeled which will be really tough cuz this corner thing is metal

either that or the wires are getting in the way somewhere. i cant figure it out. i think its something tricky with the wire slot in the inside of the receiver and where the wires go thats not letting the gearbox sit down in properly cuz my wires are getting pinched up from trying to figure it out
