Is it worth it - clearsoft - 15 years old.

I've been a big fan of target shooting for awhile, and since I'm only 15, I can't really start airsofting.

I figured that I would buy an Airsoft gun (clearsoft) from BuyAirsoft or just go to CrappyTire/Walmart and pick one up (I'd get my dad to get it for me). I'd use it for target shooting and hopefully by the time I'm old enough to be using real airsoft I'd be a half decent shot.

Is it even worth it, or am I just dreaming? Will these clearsoft even help me aim better?

Read the FAQs and browse through the forums, this has been answered many times over.

The short answer is if you want something for target shooting, get an airgun. Even a low end air rifle will outperform most higher end airsoft guns for accuracy.

Low end soft air from Walmart and CT, and most of BuyAirsoft's inventory, are barely worth their pricetag. They're low quality and generally neither perform very well nor last very long.

You might not even be able to hit the target with most clearsoft. If you want to shoot holes in things, an airgun is the best option for you.

Put your money into a real PAL training course and then join a gun club ,
Learn to shoot properly, and handle guns safely the instructors are experts.
Airsoft is just playing.

Theres no need to flame new people just because they've asked a question.

If target practice is your area then I'd say stick with pellet guns until your 18. A pellet gun is far more accurate then an airsoft gun, plus sneaking around the 18+ rule to aquire airsoft isn't encouraged either.
If you are to get an airsoft gun anyways, don't buy from Canadian tire or buyairsoft, looking into getting a Kraken.
Welcome to ASC.

its all about the reflex, you arent going to gain much skill by shooting non-moving objects.. and for buying a clearsoft gun, save the money and get a real AEG when you are of age. you wont regret it, but you will regret buying a clear soft if its from your savings.

We're talking airsoft here. No need to practice aiming when you start out.
