Arrow unintentional cover

Across here in scotland when hit we must shout hit and hold our gun in the air and in doing so the wall or front line of dead people give unintentional cover to there teammates behind them, just wondering how other places deal with this problem when running medic rules. you can see what im talking about on several of my video's, your input is greatly appreciated.

so you mean like living players take cover behind the dead ones walking to the respawn?

Well you don't necessarily have to stand, just put a kill rag on and sit there after you called hit, and don't do anything aggressive like point your gun.

i have had a player shot at me from behind the player that just got hit. i lit him up again then he was a little quicker getting out of the way of the firefight. personally i would never fire at enemy using a teammate as cover because they are the ones that take all the shots and sometimes it really sucks to be them. i had a guy take 20 to 30 rounds because as he was leaving the field his team mate was shooting at me from right behind him. what was i to do? lit them both up

Or just use common sense and wait tell it's clear to go through without much interruption. Though I suppose there is a hurry in larger games with respawns. In that case run faster.

If I'm hit in a firefight I get out of the way as soon as possible. If I have to wait for a medic and I'm in the way, I'd lay down and make sure my kill rag was visible to all.

On our field we work like that. :

When hit you lay down on your back, you point your AEG toward the sky, you attach the red flag on the end of the AEG and you wait till the firefight is finish. If someone take cover behind you, It's life and you will suffer for your teamates.

I see nothing wrong with taking cover behind a teammate that is hit but lying down. I do see something wrong with someone that is hit standing there and acting as a BB shield to an active player.

Of course, if the dead player is intentionally and unethically acting as a meat shield for a live one, well...by all means, there are no rules against laying copious amounts of "suppression" fire on a piece of cover.

Otherwise, it might be prudent to seek better cover. Personally I think if a guy got hit, I'm not going to go where it happened. Lightning does tend to strike in the same place twice.

at BWII I was in the front line when I got hit. Had I not got up and walked through my guys, I'd have taken more unnecessary hits from being up front. Couldn't have laid down neither. Just make sure to hustle through the line and not act like a human shield for more than a second or two.

Here we stay where we are when hit. This means lying down or sitting against a tree. If you happen to be providing cover for a teammate or enemy then it's just your bad luck.

I hate that. A few times I haven't fired trying not to hit the out guy, only to get shot by the shoe clown behind him. I regret it every time. Not anymore, your in my line of fire, your fair game. Just like cyclists.

rules here state that you lie dead with your kill rag and only move when it's clear for you to do so....
