VLTOR flash hider on an ICS C-15

I just picked up a VLTOR CASV and flash hider and apparently the flash hider is the wrong thread for my ICS. The way I see it I can either pick up an adapter which will be $25 or upgrade to a one-piece barrel which has the proper thread for the VLTOR flash hider. Does anyone know if there is a one piece barrel that'll be fairly easy to install on my ICS C-15 and what thread it will have to be?

Thanks.

Wayne

The CASV isn't the problem, it installed easily. The problem is the thread on the flash hider.

Thanks Ronan. It may work but I'm not sure what thread CA uses? Apparently Systema's take a 14mm clockwise flash hider (that's what the VLTOR flash hider came off of) and my ICS is a 14mm counter clockwise.

I'm assuming 14+ is clockwise and 14- is counter clockwise? Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Most barrel are 14 CCW, PTW's are 14 CW.

CCW = -
CW = +

So yeah you have a CW flashider that fits PTW and 'some' AEG barrels, but your need a CCW for your barrel.

You should just buy a new flash hider. You got a pic of your CW one?

I installed a one-piece King Arms barrel on that ICS gun your buddy has (the on with the chopped MRE RAS) and I had to file down the tabs on the sides of the ICS hop-up chamber to make it work. Other than that, it fit fine and tightened up that gun. I believe it was a 14mm- thread, and the one that Blitzz40 had may have been for a PTW, which is a 14mm+ thread.

I don't know if there's really any options for you there, except get another flash hider or try a G&P outer barrel, as they are + thread.
