How can i tell if my mp5-sd5 is JG or TM *Added pics*
When i bought this gun yesterday the owner said it was a TM. When i checked to make sure the motor was a Shaung Bo? Its commenly used in JG weapons. Did the guy lie to me? :P DID i get owned? Is there any other way I can tell? I want to know.

Could have been changed. But if it's a stock TM the motor should be a TM EG700.

aka SNK or Shaniqua

Yep, TM for $200 would not be realistic. For JG is normal to good price.

Yes that's a good deal. It should also say Tokyo Marui on the receiver if it's an actual TM. Which it sounds like it isn't.

$200 is a good deal no matter what the brand.. that's what Aftermath shitboxes sell for new.

That's still a pretty good deal. It depends on the condition but if it's in good shape and works, $200 is still not bad. I believe TM MP5s have "Tokyo Marui" stamped somewhere on the receiver but you'll have to get someone with a TM MP5 to confirm that. The receiver is the body of the gun. If I'm not mistaken the TM mark should be on the right side above the fire selector switch.
It's dishonest to call it a TM when it's not but he may not have known himself.

Its in extremely good condition. He only used it one to test fire befor he sell to me. He only collected airsoft guns as a hobby he never had games. It was like his GUNDAM MODELS!

If it has the H&K trades on it, then chances are it's a TM. TM will also have their own brand on the gun somewhere, as well as an ASGK stamp. If it's devoid of any markings whatsoever, then you have a JG. My JG has no trademarks of any kind. The only marking is "Made in China" on the grip plate.
That being said, $200 is a good price for a JG if it's in good condition. But if he claims it's a TM, then you did get lied to.

I'd still be pretty happy with $200. I'd keep it and if you really insist, confront the seller for like a $25 refund or something.
