AK 47 hand gaurd removale

how do you remove the front hand gaurd on a TM AK 47? i've looked and tried different things and just can't find out how.

1. Remove cleaning rod
2. Flip AK upside down
3. Look at where the gas tube mates with the barrel, see the screw
4. Remove screw
5. Slide gas tube forward
6. Remove hand guards
7. Reverse to assemble
