Kwa or Hfc
Hi, I was looking for a glock style pistol and so far have seen 2 that I like. The Hfc g17 and the Kwa g18c, I know one is a lot more expensive and apparently alot better but I willing to pay if it is really that much better. I will be using as a secondary in CQB type games but I may end up using it quite often depending on how it goes. Please point out pros and cons and your personal opinion would be appriciated as well.

The HFC's a solid gun, I've found it tough to get parts though. Just mags from redwolf.
I run propane and beat the hell out of it, and I've never had an issue at all.

A lot of the HFC G17's seem to develop problems with the slide and sticking. I had one and it had that problem, and there's been many others on the forum.

KWA/KSC make great Glocks that are really work horses but the 18C is a bit less durable than the 17 counterpart as it's full auto (more parts etc.).

From all that I've read, I'd stay away from a full-auto Glock, as they tend to develop problems. If you're looking for the best Glocks on the market, then KSC and TM are your best bets. KWA are basically KSC, only cheaper, so those would be a good option too.

you can match up to the full auto if have a double tap pistol fingers like me but semi and full i prefer semi because you can shoot just as much as full auto

I had the The KWA G18C and it had some issues with accuacy. It was like firing a shotgun (on full auto)
Full Metal with trades = pretty awesome The HFC Glock 17 hasn't had any real issues i've found (it's plastic, and I do own one as well) The G17 seems to be more reliable to me

My teammate has the KSC G18c, it has worked very well. The gun is mainly plastic which worries me due to the use of propane, if the sldie gets too cold it could crack. That hasn't happened yet, but it feels brittle IMO. KSC is definately good, I'd just get some metal upgrade. |

I would love to see someone match the rate of fire on a full auto GBB (KSC/KWA G18c) by manually firing with a semi only pistol. [/sarcasm] Back to the OP, a KSC G19 with metal upgrades is a bloody workhorse and really accurate too, even more accurate if you get a tightbore. I've owned a G19 but sold it as I was tired of it. Now I own a KWA G18c which others have already said acts more like a shotgun in full auto (23rnd clip gone in about 3-4 seconds).

Yeah, there's that too. Otherwise, they're the same gun and parts are completely compatible.

Thx for all the feedback. Another question I had was is they make hi-caps for the hfc g17 because I the stock 14 rounds seems a little small. ty

I've never owned any KWA Glocks but my KWA USP is awesome. Sturdy, nice weight (metal slide) and it's a workhorse too. I highly recommend KWA, it's the same construction as KSC (and in my case came with a metal slide, not sure about Glocks) for a great price. Get age verified and you'll see some very nice Glocks for sale all the time in the classifieds.

I don't think I'll be getting one from the classifieds. I will be buying brand new just because I have heard wear on gas guns can be quite substancial so I would rather pay 40 more bucks and get longer use out of it.

HFC
G17's come with a 23rd mag, but yes you can get 49rd hi-cap mag.
I own a HFC DarkHawk (it has a G17 slide) and as you can see in my signature it is not working because the slide is locking half way back, this is becuase some of the cheap metal on the slide and outer barrel have bent and wore down. I own a KWA and have not hade any problems mind you it is a USP .45 and totally different from the G17. A freind own's the KSC G17 and has had some small problems but KSC's are good guns. Sean |
