Systema springs broke too often
Hello,
We have a problem, that systema M120S/M130S/M140 springs is not as good as they have to. Last time my teammates suffered from TWO broken M120S springs. Later my M130 broke. Past month there where near eight broken springs in my team. The main thing - that they are almost new! As we found that springs are not really steel or stainless - it is some aluminium composite. What springs do you use and how fas does it loose its tension? What is the best springs on the market? Armorers says that if airsoft companies will make real steel springs - it will be everlasting. |

Look into some springs made by modify, they appear to work very well and maintain a very consistent FPS even after many thousands of BBs. Modify is a very reliable parts company that has made some nifty items in the last little while.

After some reading into Systema springs I've heard that, Systema being one of the older retailers of airsoft parts is more likely to have stocks which are much older. Though in never opened packages, the spring is still relatively open to the elements and becomes somewhat brittle after sitting on a shelf for a few years.
Just my collected two cents. |

my experience with systema springs was not a good one. i had an m120 in my ics that sagged from 380 fps down to 340 in less than 5,000rds. as recommended by "cook-off" from van, op-for i went with a madbull m110 ( blue) from www.airsoftparts.ca

Never had any problems with SystemA springs or anyone i know... are you sure they are genuine? I saw a thread about fake SystemA parts made by our friendly Chinese cloners...

I had that happen to a SystemA spring in my G&P M4A1 several years ago. Still have the spring in my parts been; since long before mention of "Friendly Chinese" ((cloners)) :P
SystemA like all companies can have slip ups, could have been something that slipped passed QC or possibly like all mechanical devices of any kind, have that chance to just fail.

weird, I guess I will chrono my ICS next time i am up at the field just to see where mine stands, I have a m120s in it now and i think i put around 5000 rounds through it since new. I know I was shooting around 340-345 with .25s in it before.

I dislike modify when they first came out, now i recommend there springs over systema or any other since they have very predictable FPS
Zukoff I've had the exact same thing happen to my M110 |
