CA M15 CQB gas tube woes
So I wanted to remove the front sight to add a RIS panel to the to rail, and after yanking it out, the gas tube was still attached and came with the sight.
*sigh* Trying to put everything back into place, but the tube won't go back into place. After toying with the delta ring, I see a notch about the size of the tube, so I'm guessing this has a role to play. Tried to align it into place, still doesn't go in. Any ideas? |

There's a hole in the forward face of the delta ring (I think that's the one you called a notch). There's also 2 flat steel springs (really just bent pieces of metal) that keep the outer part of the delta ring sprung away from the inner part. There'll be a gap in the flat springs that you have to align. You may need to use a pair of needle nose pliers or a screwdriver to turn the spring until it all lines up. Then the gas tube should go through it and into the body.
If in doubt, take the delta ring off and see how you've got to get it aligned and then put it back on. Hope that helps, good luck |
