if you don't mind how the thundermaul looks then i'd go with it. i think kraken is only good for project gun, doing alot of upgrades.

You could by a jg m4? Knowing all these chinese companies aftermath probably is just re-branded JG, it's kinda the same gun in the end.

Another generic what gun is better question thread lovely I'll break out the tea and honey cakes....
The thundermaul is JG clone v2, the newer JG V2s, I believe use those sytema clone boxes. Its still ugly as hell though. A kraken is a kraken, if it was good stock people wouldnt upgrade them. They require preventative maintenance out of the box if one wants to use it long term. What is better stock? Well Id say JG since if the kraken was that great of the box, people wouldnt change out the existing parts.

The Thunder Maul is just a JG M4 with fancy bits tacked on. I'd recommend that one only because it's a JG M4. And yes Aftermath would be worse.

Out of those 2, I'd put more faith in the JG out of the box. JG guns usually required a bit of preventative maintenance out of the box to ensure longevity, but generally can be run for thousands of rounds totally stock.
Krakens are very popular guns, but are better as an upgrade platform than stock. Upgrading a Kraken both internally and externally can give someone a fully metal and wood gun with top notch performance for about the price of a new Tokyo Marui AK. Out of the box, some people experience surprising performance and reliability out of their Krakens. Others encounter problems shortly after getting them. Generally, the problems are minor for someone who knows how to fix them, but for a noob who typically buys a Kraken as a first gun, the repair can be intimidating. So IMO, if you like the look of the Thundermaul (I'm not crazy about it, but I like it), then go for it. While some JG guns have some issues, they're generally quite good, and more reliable than a Kraken.

Personally Id go for the JG BUT:
I personally know owners of 4 Krakens (including me who's owned 2) who haven't had ANY problems what so ever with them over the past 2 years. The second JG I purchased was total junk that had to be returned to the store of purchase. |

it all depends what you want to do, if you want to be a tactical space ranger and fight aliens the thundermaul would be a better choice if you dont want to look like a homo in a game go kraken. On shootsoft, The jg thundermaul is 350, the kraken is close to 200. If I were me, ide buy a kraken and spend the 150 difference on parts to make it shoot well and last.
