Please Help - Echo 1 Mp5 PDW/k

Alright well as you can read the tital I need help with my echo 1 mp5 pdw, which i just bought and i was wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions.

This gun is amazing in feel and look, it has a real fullness too it but its performance is lacking for me. Im not that much into cqb and so i want to make this gun more accurate and perform at further ranges.

Im wondering if anyone here knows some good upgrades for a gun like this, eather internal or external it doesnt really matter to me much i just need some help with it. Im even willing to buy new parts if anyone has some good suggestions. I bought a reflex sight to have some fun with and 3 90rnd mid caps which are alot nicer then the high caps.

I want to make this gun more accurate, they say it can fire 100-150 feet accuratly and im really not seeing what they claim. Any tips and tricks to make this gun more accurate would be very helpfull no matter what tips they are.

Thanks alot - Shock

You need a new inner barrel, either 247mm or 363mm. You can probably pick up a stock inner barrel someone no longer want, or pay a bit more for a tightbore for even better performance. Since the longer inner barrel will protrude from the front of the gun, you'll need a silencer to hide it. You'll also need a new cylinder to match your barrel. Since you're going to need to open up the mechbox to replace the cylinder, you'll want to replace the plastic bushings and reshim the whole thing.

Can you please fill out your location? It'll help us help you better.

I live in the united states in ct, ill fill it out. I found this board much more helpfull then any others thats why I wish to use it. How much do you think it would cost to replace all of that, and is there a simple kit I could buy, probably for most of it but the inner barrel?

I don't think there's a kit you can buy per say, but here's an estimated cost:

Silencer ~$50
Cylinder ~$15
Bushings ~$15
Tightbore ~$50

Prices will vary depending on which online retailers you choose to buy from and what brand of parts you choose to use. A rough estimate for a new barrel, silencer, bushings and cylinder....Hmm Id probly say between 120-140, but Im being very generous with that number. Depending where you shop you could probly be under that. I cant think of any company that makes a prebuilt kit for such a thing.

Probably want to invest in some better batteries. Stock ECHO1 batteries ain't all that. I recommend Cheapbatterypacks.com, go with ELITE 1500mah NiMH 2/3A cells. 8.4v sticks would do, but you can fit a 9.6v stick in a MP5K by chopping the rear of the fake bolt.

If you go with a 247mm inner barrel, go with 3/4 ported cylinder. Go with a 4/5 port if you get a 363mm barrel. Anything over that, get a portless cylinder. Don't go too long, though, a MP5K with a silencer longer than the gun looks plain silly.

yea im sort of unsure on the size of the barrel, how much longer would you suggest? what would you run if you wanted to increase accuracy without making the gun look stupid.

Probably just a 247mm. It's almost twice as long as your current barrel.

Naw, 247mm is quite managable. Besides, if you go too short, you're not really going to get the longer range accuracy you're going for.

You'd need a silencer at least 14cm long. Anything with a -14mm/CCW thread would do. Picking a silencer is really mostly a personal taste thing.
