Recommended an Airsoft gun for our school
We are introducing force on force training out of our school in the lower mainland BC. In the past, we have used Simunition FX marking cartridgers, but the advantages of airsoft outweigh the FX gear.
Since I am not affluent in airsoft, I thought I would open it up to the experts here to make their recommendations. We are looking to purchase some durable, reliable 1/1 gas powered Glocks. We need something that can take a licking and keep on ticking and doesn’t require a ton of upkeep. We are a federally licensed firearms training school and are licensed to import anything, so this may widen scope a bit. Thanks in advance. Tokyo Marui makes very high quality and durable handguns..
Classic army, Tokyo Marui, Vega Force Company, STAR, and G&P make very good AEGS. If you're looking for reliable hassle free Armalite models, I would advise you to go with the G&P ones. |

Ref the glocks, KSC Glock 19's w/ metal slide/outer barrel upgrades.
Also, SIGARMS has a line of airsoft pistols you may be interested in; http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/Sho...&productid=177 |

Thanks guys,
The sigs sound like a decent system, but we have a ton of holsters for G22’s/G17’s. If the sigs are the cats ass, we will buy some more holsters and go with them. If there are Glocks that compare, it would save us a couple of bucks. |

I think you will find this thread useful.:
http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread....gbb+equivalent Near the end of this thread is discussion on the durability of the KSC/KJW's. Under casual use they seem to have an upper lifespan of 2 years. I don't know how many rounds you are going to be putting through your weapons that maybe a consideration. |

There are a few families of airsoft pistol that are well known for their longevity when used w/ propane;
- KSC Glocks (w/ metal slides/barrels) - TM Sig P226 (Stock) - TM 1911/5.1 (Stock) If you already have the infrastructure to support G22/G17's then I would just go w/ the KSC Glock 19. That way you'll avoid supporting two systems in regards to mags etc... KSC or TM Glock 17's with metal slides would probably be your best bet.

If you are looking for long arms, namely armalites, systema would be your best bet, designed specifically for training purposes.

KSC G19
I run a Force on Force training facility in Toronto.
I use KSC G19s with metal slides and Barrels, with upgraded recoil springs. I have put tens of thousands of rounds through these guns, and Finally after nearly 3 years they need replacing. They simply wore out. They were reliable up to failure, and were excellent sImulators in every sense of the word. For my money... these are the guns to go with. If you went with G17 models, the TM varient is quite good as well and has the advantage of also having available "blue gun" versions to enable you to round out the training tools and keep to the same gun. May be something to think about.

KSC Glocks are excellent, durable guns, and are quite reasonably priced, particularly if you have a license to import them from overseas (vs buying in Canada).
As Kokanee stated, install a metal slide and outer barrel (a simple task even a novice can do in under 10 minutes) and you'll have a replica that is a perfect 1:1 copy of the real deal with identical functions, feel and similar weight.

I worry about the concept of using airsoft as a force on force training tool.
Simunition was invented for this purpose. Granted, the gear is pricey but it is a firearm, with live rounds albeit sim. The actions (IA's etc) are identical to live fire. Not so with airsoft. |

Don't buy classic army or G&P guns unless you plan on becoming a good gunsmith real quick lol
CA parts break down fast under constant use, and G&P guns need basic work upon arrival. But both are full metal, G&P more so than CA, but the TM's will last a long time as long as your not rough on them. |

Good input MadMorbius,

Just out of curiosity, since you guys are licensed to import anything, what are our chances of having you guys import Airsoft guns and gear for us? Kind of like a side 'store' or side business. Or is that not allowed under contract or what not.
By the way, I'm just saying what's on everyone's mind.
