I own it, not for very long.. but its pretty nice. You could say its "bullet proof" but for that you'd go for a machined mechbox... lol.

I think they're something like 550fps stock, but ive got mine downgraded to 400.

have you opened it up and had a look for any wear and tear?
what battery are you running?
im thinking of pickin one up for my armalite instead of an A&K 249er.
i dont want to blow 700$ on an a&k product, the quality isnt worth the money.

I haven't opened it up myself, but im told it was previously owned by a gun doc in Quebec.

I think I actually might take a look though and give you an idea. Mind you, it has been downgraded... which I would recommend. Cause you wont be gaming anywhere with 500-550fps lol. With that said, downgraded to 400fps I bet there is minimal to no wear and tear if it was designed to run an m170. But in my opinion I don't think the gearbox running with an m170 would last as long as your average stock (300fps or under) v2 from say TM. But hey what do I know... SystemA is a great company.

If you have interest though.. I think I may consider selling mine.

It's total overkill, unless you actually plan on shooting 400fps. The Magnum motor, infinity torque up gears and half tooth piston are severe overkill for use in any normal AEG used on a field in Canada.

You're paying a lot extra for something you don't need if you end up downgrading it to 400fps.

It's like buying a Lamborghini Murciélago just so you can drive the speed limit in residential neighbourhoods...

The gearbox of the M170 box isn't any stronger than the weakest box Systema sells (the M100 Turbo box.) The only difference is in piston head and torque levels of the internals... plus the motor.

If you're aiming for 400fps, just get the M120 box and keep using your stock Marui EG1000 motor.

well ive already upgraded my gun with an 120 irregular, but its still not shooting up to my standards, it chronos in at an average of 390.

heres the thing.......i watched a youtube review and it has an insane rate of fire, so im thinkin maybe i should just get the turbo motor and say screw the mechbox, since mine has pretty much all systema parts anyway.

If 390fps isn't up to your standards, then I dare ask: What velocity are you looking to hit? Because an extra 10fps isn't going to make any noticeable difference in performance...

Although, you might want to try a Systema M120S, but that will almost most likely put you over the 400fps limit. Probably closer to 420fps.

Do you have a tightbore as well?

Not up to your standard? any higher and you will not be allowed to play on almost all Canadian fields. CQB that is far too high.

well on the field i play at its a common sense rule, if your too close you should know, my role is support, meaning i stay back and provide cover fire.
so this is why i need a higher fps and ROF.

yes i have a tight bore.

and the last two posts have nothing tho do with the systema mechbox and motor combination!!!!!! so maybe you should refer back to my original post for a refresher.

ahhh..........yahhhhhh, so if you could go back on topic that would be great...........mmmmmmmmmmmmmkaaaaaaaaaaay

Well, if 550fps is what you're looking for, then that's definitely the mechbox/motor set to get.
