Louder AEG

How do you make an AEG sound like a beast without shredding the internals? I have a JG HK416 and I'd like it to sound nasty. Thanks.

I put a Noveske KX3 on mine, only sounds different from the business end. Much nicer sounding.

An aluminium piston head will make the gun louder, but that's also said to shorten the lifespan of a typical v2 mechbox. The aluminium piston head doesn't absorb shock as well as polycarbonate ones, so more impact is transfered to the front of the mechbox, leading to earlier structural failure.

I'd like to hear any safe option to make it louder, preferably the box.

lol, so you want a nasty sounding gun with a silencer?

I've got one on my 416 right now it dulls the muzzle noise down to a PUM PUM opposed to a snapping sound, however this only applies to the muzzle, you still hear the gear box, if you want a quieter gearbox, swap your gears with Systema Helical gears and an Angel Silent piston head set. If you want loud, get a metal piston head.

I'm barely under my 350 limit right now (340-350 .20's). Will a metal piston head bring me up any?

The silent piston heads decreases muzzle velocity 15-20 fps, however for metal pistons I do not know.

Anyone else?

A metal piston head will only change your fps if it improves or degrades your airseal, the fact that it is metal means almost nothing. No way to know without putting one in and chronying it.
