Upgrading my UTG MK96

Ok, so after reading a few sniper guides and practicing at targets around 50 yards. I've decided that I'm going to upgrade my MK96. I know the UTG MK96 isn't the best of guns but I've also read it's one of the best if not the best 'budget' sniper rifles out on the market.

I know the UTG MK96 is fully compatible with maruzen parts designed for the higher quality counter-part so buying high quality parts that I know will function well and work properly is guarenteed right now. However my only concern is if I should spend maybe 700 dollars of upgrades on my current gun, or if I should try and get my hands on a higher quality gun and get a fewer upgrades. I guess what I'm trying to ask is if the higher quality gun with fewer upgrades will be better than that of the lower quality gun but with more upgrades.

I know I haven't provided much detail into what I will be upgrading but I guess what I'm looking to get would be the following:

-Tightbore barrel
-Better spring
-New internal pieces in general
