Real Sword Type 56 - 56k will die a SLOW, painful death
Just some pointless pimpage with huge-ass high-res pics. My site is fast, but it will take a while to download these pics, as they're in full 1600 x 1200 resolution. They're reduced somewhat from the original 5 megapixel resolution, but I kept them at a high res so more detail would be visible.
I should add that I've ordered the aluminum spike bayonet to replace this plastic junk. It looks plastic and it just too soft. For obvious reasons, it's made of soft plastic for safety purposes while gaming, but when it's folder back, it bends easily when you're holding onto the front hand guard and is distracting. The aluminum bayonet will look much better, and not bend when holding onto it. If I use the gun for a game, I'll reove the bayonet completely, as it's rather annoying. Looks cool, but has no practical purpose in airsoft, so would rather not have it at all in a game.

They really pushed the word "replica" to the limit. Excellent detail. Thanks for the pics mate!
Oh and I got a 24" LCD, and they're still too big on the res I view em on. It's all good, I'd rather see all the extra detail. Still I'm disappointed they copied the TM dinky bolt.

I'd leave the plastic bayonnet on for CQB! It make sens to rush your ennemy with it.

And yeah, I wish they would have made a heavier duty bolt. With the level of realism that the rest of the gun is made to, I think they could have done better here. But it's a minor complaint since the bolt has no real function, but still, a steel bolt of a better design would have been nice. However, stock, the thing opens just a touch over 2cm which makes it hard to get to the hopup adjustment. I had to cut a bit off the end and grind a groove into it in order to get it to move all the way (details and pics in my review of the gun in the reviews section). Now it works well and has a nice snappy sound when released. Overall, the sounds the gun makes when you move its parts, insert or remove the mag, etc sound so real that you almost forget you're holding an airsoft gun until you pull the trigger. I couldn't be happier with this gun. It'll get its wear and tear in good time. I've been working the selector switch up and down like crazy in inserting and removing the mag in order to give those the 'wear and tear' treatment. Needless to say, blued steel is pretty resilient, making it take a while to get that worn-in look. The rest of the gun will get its wear and tear through use. I plan to put together a middle eastern or Afghani fighter loadout in the future, so this gun will fit that loadout well.

I received my aluminum bayonet today. It looks much better than the plastic one. Now I can really hurt someone with this gun!

VERY nice man. Normally not a huge fan of the wooden stock AK's but that with the bayonet is pure sex.
Just curious, didn't want to go through that huge review thread: Is the take-down of the handguards like the Tokyo Marui AK design? or is it like the ICS with the take-down lever actually working? |

I haven't seen either of those 2 AKs in person, so can't say for sure. It comes apart exactly like a real AK, since externally, it IS a Norinco-produced rifle with all external steel being real-steel AK parts. So if you mean the takedown lever located beside the rear sight, then yes, that's it.

Once again someone claiming its externally real. I'd love to see some proof of that.
