usp Hopup rubber

Hi, I bought a ksc usp about a month ago and since then the hopup rubber has destroyed itself, I've been looking for a replacement for some time now and i cant seem to find one anywhere . If anyone know where i could find one it would be really appreciated. And if anyone knows why it did this that would help too.

thank you,

Previously this part was listed as fitting the KSC Glocks, M11A1, and a few others. If this part doesn't fit in your gun, send Jugglez a PM about getting him to order in the right part you need on one of his orders. Shouldn't cost you much more than what he has listed there.

Odd. I had the same happen to my hopup on my KSC Glock 17. The gun is just over a month old and the hopup rubber looks as though it's been put through a food processor.

I checked sites like UNCompany, Redwolf, and WGC. They carry the rubber (as well as the small ball bearing, which seems to be MIA in my gun now), but everyone seems to be out of stock.

I've just PM'ed Jugglez about this myself.

I received and installed the new hopup for my Glock today, and was surprised to see the difference between the stock one, and this "original KSC replacement part". The original rubber was very soft and almost gel-like in consistency. It basically tore to shreds just removing it from its sleeve. The replacement rubber seems to be considerably stiffer.

As for the little ball bearing, I managed to make one with a drop of solder. It's slightly smaller than the original, requiring a bit more hopup adjustment (about 75% instead of the 40% or so it had before) to get the same results. But it works like a charm.

I found the same probelms with the rubber used by KSC In their M11A1 parts (hop up rubber and mag rubber). My experience is that it's soft and soaks up silicon oil, which swells and makes the rubber weak, then it gets chewed to hell from use. But it seems like the rubbers in my two KSC G19 and my six mags for them is a different type of rubber used, and I have had zero problems with any rubber parts in either.

I'll have to check out the mag rubber and see what it's like. I never thought of checking that at all. But I know the difference with the stock hopup and new hopup are like night and day.

Interesting. I just checked my 2 magazines, and they have different rubber. The one that came with the gun has a soft rubber, and the additional one I bought has the stiffer rubber. I have 2 more mags coming from eHobby Asia and should be here next week. I wonder which rubber they have.
