Glock 17/18c/19 conversion?

So i was talking to a few locals like pawscal and i was doing a little window shopping and i noticed that Guarder only seems to make a lower frame for the g19. This got me thinking and after examining the pic closely, i noticed that my KSC G18c has the same outter appearance (lower frame) as the G19 part. Guarder does not manufacture any of the other two 17/18c frames. Im not very familiar with glocks since this is my first one, but it also occured to me after talking to pawscal (who has a KSC Glock 19) that it might be possible to take an 18c slide assembly and put it on a glock 19, and have it shoot like a glock 18c. (like a semi to full auto upgrade) Effectvely turning the 19 into an 18c. This would allow players to upgrade their semi auto glocks into 18c's for some engagements and swap back to 17/19 for others. After i had talked to CGIVisionary (the guy i bought my glock from) he said that the glock 18c and the glock 17 are exactly the same with the exception of the fire select feature.

So is this possible? Can someone upgrade or change their glock model just by changing the slide assembly?

the 19 has a shorter frame then the 17/18's do. also the internal parts in the hammer assemble's are not the same.

the slide and frame sizes will match up. but again if you look at the internals in the frame the hammer assemblies are different. I would say it wouldn't work but I have not tried I only own 17 and 19's so that is only a guess.
