how to get hop up rubber back into receiver?

hope someone can help me out.

i took apart my Star L86 for shipping, with the brass barrel and hop up rubber sleeve removed. now i am trying to put it all together and I am running into major problem.

hop up rubber sleeve shown here: (http://www.cobraairsoft.com/images/PA-HU01-STAR.JPG)

to put the gun back together, I slide the hop up rubber sleeve onto the barrel, then I try to push the sleeve & barrel back into the receiver, the fit was too tight and the rubber sleeve keeps getting squeezed and budged out. it didn't like to slide into the receiver at all.

after a few tries, i ripped the rubber sleeve... now I am waiting 2 weeks to get new ones. Can someone please give me some tips on how to reinstall the rubber sleeve and barrel back into the receiver??

Thanks.

Henry

A: order one from www.airsoftparts.ca It'll make it to you in 2-3 buisness days.

and B: Order some Airsoft Innovations Silicon lube. What you do is you lube the barrel, Then lube the hopup rubber, then slide it into the hopup slowly.

Done.

+1 for lube.
Lube works wonders for sticking things into other things.

Alternatively 10/15/20 weight Pure Silicone Shock Oil from your local hobby store will do the same thing.

Thats something you would know about....*Looks at T7*
Does it matter which way the rubber goes in?
